G’day and welcome to Australia! Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the Arrivals Hall in the airport and transfer you to our beautiful hotel in Sydney. You’ll have the rest of the day and evening to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. This evening, join your Group Leader for an informal Meet & Greet to get to know your new Sisters. Today, we’ll see where English colonists first settled during a city tour of Sydney, starting with an Aboriginal-guided walking tour of The Rocks district, after which we’ll take an expert-led tour of the Sydney Opera House, poised majestically on Sydney Harbour. We’ll visit King’s Cross, the Harbour Bridge, Chinatown, the Rocks, Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the fashionable district of Darlinghurst. Later, you’ll have the chance to join a special presentation at the National Opal Collection. This evening, dine independently with your Sisters. (Breakfast included)

Today, we’ll fly to Cairns, the tropical gateway to one of the world’s most spectacular natural attractions – the Great Barrier Reef (UNESCO). Established as a marine park in 1975, the reef is a haven for thousands of species of sea life, as well as turtles and birds. (Breakfast included)

This morning, we’ll jump in and explore a vibrant, colorful world teeming with life at the Moore Reef at the very center of the Great Barrier Reef. We’ll cruise across the water by catamaran to the Great Adventures pontoon where a diverse, bountiful ecosystem is yours to discover. You may enjoy the fish feeding from the unique underwater platform. We guarantee you’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime experience exploring one of the seven natural wonders of the world. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

You’re in for a real treat this morning as we glide over and through the lush rainforests of Cairns on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, the world’s longest gondola cableway. Our comfortable gondola will carry us 4.5 miles through the rugged beauty of Barron Gorge National Park, part of the Wet Tropics, a UNESCO World Heritage area. The gondola dips through the layers of the canopy to bring us deep into the rainforest, stopping at two viewing platforms along the way. You’ll experience the sights, sounds, and scents of this vibrant ecosystem up close and see the dramatic Barron gorge and waterfalls. This afternoon, we’ll visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures to see crocodiles on a nature cruise. We’ll head through the rainforests on boardwalks to see animals such as wild birds, reptiles, and wallabies. Last, we’ll visit with a koala and chat with a wildlife naturalist to learn more about they furry creatures. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

We’re heading for the Outback today where we’ll experience the vast landscapes and their tranquility. Our group flight will take us to Alice Springs, the perfect place to being exploring this unique land. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a memorable bush dinner together set against the backdrop of this unique desert environment. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

Today, we’ll access the history and culture of the Arrernte Aboriginal people by enjoying a guided walk on their sacred land, followed by a talk with an Aboriginal guide to gain insight into their cultural history and discover what makes this place so special. This afternoon, we’ll discover a more modern side to Outback living when we visit the Royal Flying Doctor service, a lifeline to thousands across the vast terrain of Central Australia. Later, we’ll tour the Old Telegraph Station and Anzac Hill with its excellent view of Alice Springs and the surrounding area. (Breakfast included).

We’ll traverse the “Red Centre” and head to Uluru (the Aboriginal name for Ayers Rock) in the heart of the Australian Outback. This huge monolith and the sandstone domes known as Kata Tjuta were created through upheaval and erosion. We’ll tour the base of “the Rock”, learning about its geology and significance to Aboriginal culture. Best of all, we’ll witness the changing colors of Uluru at sunset, accompanied by a champagne toast. (Breakfast included).

Today, we’ll fly to the beautiful Victorian city of Melbourne. Set upon the shores of Port Phillip Bay and the Yarra River, the city exudes a lively and cosmopolitan atmosphere. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

This morning, we’ll set out on a city tour and see Fitzroy Gardens and Melbourne’s bustling “laneways”. Then, it’s your choice. Enjoy free time on your own, OR, visit the Melbourne Botanical Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance. No matter what you choose, this afternoon is yours to enjoy with your Sisters. Be sure take advantage of the free city tram and try the amazing array of cuisines on offer in the “foodie capital” of Australia. (Breakfast included).

Today, we leave Australia behind and fly to Queenstown, New Zealand. One of New Zealand’s most popular towns, Queenstown is nestled against a picturesque bay and snowcapped mountains. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

Soak in the rugged grandeur of Hollyford Valley as we travel through an ancient beech forest via the Homer tunnel. Next, we’ll cruise the Milford Sound and see why this fjord is one of the most visited sights on the South Island. (Breakfast and Lunch included).

Today is yours to enjoy in Queenstown with your Sisters. Shop or people-watch in the village, find a unique eatery for lunch, sample some New Zealand wine – the day is yours to enjoy this stunning city. This evening, we’ll step back in time when we board the TSS Earnslaw, the beloved steamship that has been transporting goods and people on Lake Wakatipu since 1912. Nicknamed “The Lady of the Lake”, she is the only coal-fired steamship still in operation in the southern hemisphere. We’ll embark on a leisurely cruise across the pristine waters to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Together, we’ll enjoy the hospitality of the Colonel’s Homestead at an impressive buffet where you can indulge in the best of New Zealand’s meats and seafood, fresh vegetables, garden salads, and incredible dessert specialties. An after-dinner visit to the farm will provide an entertaining glimpse into farming life in the high country. We’ll cruise back to Queenstown, relaxing or joining in the revelry of a lively sing-along. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

Today we’ll set off for the 19th century settlement of Arrowtown, founded in the gold fever. We’ll follow the Kawarau River and cross Lindis Pass before arriving in New Zealand’s most famous national park, Mt. Cook. Savor your free time in this Alpine Paradise with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

This morning we’ll depart for Christchurch and pay a visit to Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. A leader in the conversation of New Zealand species, Willowbank offers the chance to view New Zealand’s “Big 5” up close and personal. We’ll learn about the local indigenous culture of the Maori, with a paddle on the Avon River in a traditional canoe or “waka”. Later, we’ll join a local Kiwi family for a home hosted dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

Devastated by an earthquake in early 2011, see firsthand how the “Garden City” is recreating itself during a sightseeing tour that highlights the city’s magnificent gardens and elegant park district. As the day draws to a close, we’ll toast to our adventure down under at a Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Depart with many wonderful memories and new best friends as our transfers take us to the Christchurch airport for our flights home. (Breakfast included).

This is a moderately paced itinerary that involves some longer days and more activities. Expect some early hotel departures, and limited time for day time rest and rejuvenation as the itineraries are designed to ensure that you see as much as possible in these wonderful destinations. This may include longer coach journeys and guests should be able to join a walking tour lasting 1-2 hours with stops possibly over uneven terrain. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be comfortable with standing for longer periods of time with no difficulty.
