IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Maximum number of Sisters on this trip is 24 including your Group Leader.
- International airfare is not included in your pricing. You will fly into Paris (CDG) and fly home from Nice (NCE). All flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before July 19, 2023. If you need assistance making your flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
- Our arrival and departure transfers are private for the group. If you choose to arrive or depart outside of the times we recommend, we will arrange private transfers for you at your expense. We strongly recommend that you arrive by 2 pm on October 19 and that departure flights are arranged for 11 am or later on October 29.
- Smaller buses, which may not be lavatory equipped, may be used on this program. In this case, frequent stops are made during travel periods.
- Using the Paris underground system requires the ability to negotiate 2 to 3 flights of stairs and agility to step on and off moving escalators. Seating is not guaranteed in the Métro as it’s available on a first come, first served basis. In case seats are not available, the ability to stand in a moving vehicle is required (handrails are available).
- Porterage is not available in French train stations; therefore, your checked luggage will be transferred from the Paris hotel to the Aix-en-Provence hotel on the day prior to your train ride. However, you must be prepared to handle your own carry- on luggage from the motorcoach to the platform and lift it aboard the train. Luggage space is limited, so you may have to store your bags in the overhead racks as there is no checked luggage service available on French trains. You will be responsible of carrying your bags from the train to the motorcoach upon arrival in Aix-en-Provence. Please be advised that high-speed trains in France are double-deckers and you may be assigned a seat in the upper deck, requiring you to lift your luggage up the steps.
- The hiking in the Calanques National Park (IF you choose this option) is ranked as “moderately strenuous” according to the U.S. National Park Service guidelines. Moderately strenuous hikes will generally be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain can involve a steady and often steep incline. The hike, comprising of 1 to 2 calanques, will be an approximate duration of 2 hours in length over rough, unpaved terrain – constantly up/down hills. In case of adverse weather conditions, the hike might be replaced with a walk along a paved, 1.1 miles scenic path.
- The truffle hunting activity takes place in the countryside on unpaved paths and in wooded areas. To participate, you must wear comfortable, sturdy walking or hiking shoes. Waterproof shoes are recommended, as mud and puddles are common in the area.

- Any optional expenses or expenses related to anything not specifically listed in this itinerary are not included.
