October 18, 2025

Welcome to Johannesburg! Upon arrival, go through passport control, collect your luggage, and proceed through customs. Your guide will meet you and walk with you to our hotel which is conveniently located next to the airport. The rest of the day and evening is yours to relax and rejuvenate. Meet your Group Leader and Sisters this evening for an informal gathering. (No meals are included today)

October 19, 2025

After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and walk to the airport terminal to check in for our group flight to Kasane. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to our lodge where we’ll check in for two nights. We’ll enjoy lunch before departing for our afternoon game activity, a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River where you’ll have the chance of seeing copious game such as hippos, elephants, and crocodile, as well as abundant bird life. Later, we’ll return to our lodge for dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Today, we’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Chobe National Park and later, a boat cruise game activity in the afternoon. In your downtime, you might choose to take part in our lodge’s guided bicycle tours or village walks where you can learn about and experience the local customs and culture of the Kazangula community. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

After our morning game drive and breakfast, we’ll check out and be transferred across the border to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Be sure to have your $30.00 in cash to pay for your single-entry visa at the border. We’ll check into our deluxe rooms at our 5-star lodge for the next two nights. Late this afternoon, we’ll head to the Zambezi River for an unforgettable luxury Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Malachite vessel where you can enjoy the abundant wildlife and the beautiful sunset scenery as well as a 3-course dinner and drinks along the way. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

This morning after breakfast, we’ll visit the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary for an opportunity to interact with the elephants that live there. Learn about elephants as well as their history and how they came to be in the Sanctuary as well as the threats facing elephant populations today. You’ll meet the elephants at the wallow deck and have an opportunity to interact, pet, feed, and capture photo moments with the gentle giants as well as witness the special relationship the staff share with them. Next, we’ll visit a local craft market before we experience the local culture by enjoying a home-hosted lunch in a local home. After, we’ll take a guided tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls. This evening, we’ll meet with a historian who will tell us about the fascinating life of David Livingstone and enjoy dinner on the lawn. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

October 23, 2025

After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport and check-in for our group flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to our hotel, which is conveniently located on the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where we’ll check-in to our executive rooms for the next three nights. This evening, we’ll meet our esteemed guest speaker, Christo Brand, former prison warden to Nelson Mandela and author of “Mandela: My Prisoner, My Friend”, who will share stories of his life and times with Mandela on Robben Island. After, dinner can be enjoyed in-house with Christo (at your own expense and charged to your room). (Breakfast included)

October 24, 2025

After breakfast, we’ll visit Table Mountain via the cable car (weather permitting), the world’s new Seventh Wonder. Next, we’ll visit The Diamond Works for a diamond cutting demonstration where you’ll also find exquisitely unique hand-crafted jewelry pieces, authentic African craft, décor and gift items. After, we’ll take a city tour and see some of the places of interest in South Africa’s “Mother City” before proceeding to the Groot Constantia Wine Estate for lunch and wine tasting of some of their locally grown wines and a cellar tour. Last, we’ll visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can enjoy these beautiful gardens and the diverse selection of local plants and flowers. This evening is yours to spend independently with your Sisters as you dine on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

This morning you’re in for a treat as we travel along the beautiful coast to Hout Bay. Along the way, take in some of the most spectacular scenery the Cape Peninsula has to offer as we cruise along the rugged coastline from Hout Bay Harbour. We’ll continue driving along the spectacular Chapman’s Peak and visit Cape Point, the most south-western point of the African continent. Walk to the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and the surrounding area. We’ll visit the local African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach and after, enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant overlooking False Bay. This evening is yours to enjoy independently with your Sisters.  (Breakfast and Lunch included).

Early this morning, after breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and head to the Cape Town Airport for our group flight to Hoedspruit in the Greater Kruger Park. Upon arrival, we’ll be met by our game ranger who will transfer us in our open safari vehicles to our 5-star lodge in the Kapama Private Game Reserve. We’ll check into our deluxe suites for the next three nights. First, we’ll enjoy lunch and then head for our first afternoon game drive.  (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

October 27, 2025

Expect an early wake-up call and gather for refreshments before heading out at first light. The “big cats” may still be around after their night of hunting. Game drives are conducted in open game vehicles with our skilled ranger and tracker to find the animals of Africa for you to enjoy. Between your morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have free time to go on a guided walking safari, or to relax and pamper yourself at the local Spa. Late afternoon, we’ll convene for high tea, before departing for our afternoon bush safari. We’ll enjoy a sundowner drink along the way, and watch the sun set before returning to the lodge for dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY

  • There will be a maximum of 18 Sisters plus your Sisterhood Travels Group Leader. Roommate matching is available.
  • No airfare is included in your pricing. You will fly roundtrip in and out of Johannesburg (JNB)
  • Intra-country flights (there are four separate flights within Africa) should be approximately $1500 – $1600 total per person. We will book the group flights in May or June of 2025. We will invoice you separately and the amount due will be payable at that time.
  • You can arrive at any time on October 18, 2025. All departure flights on October 29, 2025, must be scheduled for 9 pm or later.
  • Check-in time at our arrival hotel is at 3:00 pm.
  • All international flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before July 18, 2025. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
  • Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six (6) months beyond your date of return and contains at least two (2) unused (blank) facing pages labeled “Visa” per country you intend to visit. Note: Visa pages referred to above do not include pages reserved for Endorsements, Amendments, or Observations. You will be refused entry into South Africa if these conditions are not met. No visa is required for US citizens to enter South Africa.
  • Visas for Zimbabwe can be obtained at the airport upon arrival in Zimbabwe. U.S. passport holders must have $30 USD in cash in order to pay for your visa at that time.
  • Extra transport or transfers, taxi fares, or after hours’ transport are not included.
  • Extra optional activities while in the game reserves are not included.
  • Individual gratuities for guides, trackers, restaurant staff, housekeeping, etc. are not included. We will provide you with expected tipping guidelines.
  • Please don’t schedule any optional excursions on your own for this trip, as we cannot promise that you will arrive in time at any location to make your independent excursion. Sisterhood Travels won’t be liable for any expense you incur because of this.
  • We strongly recommend that you purchase optional travel insurance, which is not included in your pricing. We will send you a quote via email.
  • We cannot accommodate wheelchairs or assistive mobility devices such as canes, walkers, rollators, or scooters on this trip. You must be able to navigate fully without assistance including getting in and out of safari vehicles.
  • There are no refunds for unused portions of this tour.

This is a consistently robust itinerary that is likely to be filled with a combination of long, active days, several early hotel departures and some long journeys by coach. There may be limited time for rest and rejuvenation as you explore these amazing destinations. There may be multiple flights and travel by non-traditional means such as safari vehicles, rickshaws/pedicabs, etc. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be capable of walking 1-2 miles over time over potentially difficult terrain which may include hills. Guests should be comfortable with standing for longer periods of time with no difficulty.
