Welcome to Malta! After you pass through immigration and customs, your driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall to transport you to our lovely hotel in Sliema. Take some time to rest and relax before joining your Group Leader and Sisters for an informal meet and greet this evening. (No meals are included today)

We’ll kick off our journey this morning with a scenic sail through Valletta’s stunning Grand Harbour, a UNESCO World Heritage site, aboard traditional Dghajsa boats. Afterward, we’ll dive into the rich history of Malta’s capital on a guided walking tour led by a knowledgeable local expert. From the Upper Barrakka Gardens, take in breathtaking views of the Three Cities and admire the majestic Grand Master’s Palace. You’ll also have some free time with your Sisters to explore the city at your own pace. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the private residence of a modern-day Knight of Malta before catching the local ferry back to Sliema, where you and your Sisters can unwind for the evening. We’ll be setting out on a full-day adventure to Gozo, the second-largest island in the Maltese archipelago. After a quick ferry ride (about 25 minutes), we’ll arrive on Malta’s lush and scenic neighbor, famous for the ancient Ggantija temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site that predates Stonehenge. We’ll join a local expert to explore this incredible historical site and uncover Gozo’s 7,000-year-old past. Next, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local eatery, followed by a panoramic tour showcasing the island’s fascinating legends. See why the legendary poet Homer described Gozo as the island where the nymph Calypso held Ulysses captive for seven years. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

This morning is yours to enjoy at leisure before we dive into the heart of Maltese culture this afternoon as we hop aboard a retro bus headed to a charming village where time-honored traditions still thrive. You’ll experience a meaningful, authentic cultural exchange by joining a local band club for dinner. These band clubs are deeply woven into the fabric of Maltese society, serving as a hub of community pride. They’re the perfect spot for locals to gather, share stories, play pool, and organize activities for the village festas. It’s an authentic slice of everyday life in Malta that you won’t want to miss. We’re starting very early this morning by grabbing our bags and catching a ferry to Sicily (based on ferry schedules, it could be as early at 4 am!). Our first stop is the coastal town of Pozzallo, where we will enjoy a traditional Sicilian breakfast—a simple yet delicious combo of pastry and cappuccino, just like in the rest of Italy. Next, we’ll continue our culinary journey with a visit to a family-owned herb farm, where we’ll discover how they produce organic aromatic plants. During lunch, savor dishes infused with fresh herbs from the farm, offering a true taste of the region’s flavors. Later, unwind at our hotel before we join together for dinner. We’re heading to Ragusa-Ibla (UNESCO), a charming, centuries-old city nestled on a hilltop, where we’ll stroll through its atmospheric late-Baroque district with an expert guide, wandering down narrow lanes, past cobblestone streets, and under ornate wrought-iron balconies. Take advantage of a free afternoon to explore at your own pace with your Sisters. As evening falls, you can decide to either return to our countryside resort just outside the city or stay in town to enjoy dinner independently with your Sisters. (Breakfast included)

This morning, we’ll venture into Sicily’s Baroque Valley, a region celebrated for its intricate historic architecture where we’ll explore the UNESCO World Heritage towns of Scicli and Modica. Scicli, with origins dating back to the 3rd century BC, is home to a wealth of ancient churches. During our visit, we’ll stop at a local farm for brunch and discover two regional delicacies: fresh ricotta cheese and sausage. Then, we will head to the hilltop town of Modica, known for its stunning baroque buildings and elaborately decorated facades. While there, indulge in Modica’s famous artisanal chocolate, crafted from ancient Aztec-inspired recipes. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Admire the rugged scenery of Southeastern Sicily as we make our way to Siracusa (UNESCO) today. Once there, you can choose what you’d like to do! Explore Neapolis, the vast ancient Greek colony founded 2,700 years ago, or perhaps you’d prefer to join a local expert for a tour of the archaeological museum, showcasing the city’s most treasured artifacts. In the afternoon, sit back and relax during our scenic bus ride to Taormina, a picturesque resort town perched high above the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. (Breakfast included)

We’ll explore Taormina this morning with a local guide who will introduce us to the city’s highlights, including the Duomo, its beautiful public gardens, and the remarkably well-preserved Greek theater. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy with your Sisters. Experience the wild side of Sicily today on our off-road journey to Mount Etna (UNESCO). As our vehicle ascends the slopes of Europe’s largest active volcano, take in the awe-inspiring sight of its iconic peak. Spend the day with your Sisters discovering this legendary natural wonder, navigating past lava formations and striking basalt rocks. Later, we’ll return to Taormina and gather for a memorable Farewell Dinner of authentic Sicilian cuisine, while enjoying the lively tunes of local musicians as we celebrate our Mediterranean adventures together.
