Welcome to San Antonio, Texas – the “American Venice”! Your driver will be waiting to whisk you off to our beautiful, perfectly located hotel on the Riverwalk. Today is yours to rest, rejuvenate, and relax or take a stroll on the Riverwalk. Perhaps this evening, you’ll join your Sisters for an informal get-together in the hotel. No meals are included today.

Spend the day at leisure with your Sisters as you explore the beautiful Riverwalk area with all of its shops, cafes, and so much more. Don’t forget to return this evening for our Welcome Reception. (Breakfast and Welcome Reception)

February 17, 2025

Our day begins with a fascinating tour of San Antonio with a local guide. History and culture abound with a visit to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. First, we’ll visit the Mission San José, the second mission established by Fray Antonio Margil de Jesus in 1720. Then, it’s on to visit one of America’s most historic sites, the Alamo, which played a critical role in the Texas Revolution. People worldwide continue to remember the Alamo as a heroic struggle against impossible odds – a place where men made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Next, browse for one- of-a-kind goods at El Mercado, the Mexican Marketplace. Later, we’ll board a boat and drift along the Paseo del Rio, also known as the River Walk, one of Texas’s most prized attractions. Learn more about the architecture and culture of the city on this relaxing narrated boat ride. Then, enjoy some leisure time with your Sisters to discover San Antonio on your own. This evening, enjoy the local flavors of Texas during dinner in the King William Historic District at a restored convent. (Breakfast and Dinner)

This morning, it’s your choice! Visit the South Texas Heritage Center at the Witte Museum, an interactive museum dedicated to sharing the stories of San Antonio’s people and the land that has shaped their lives -OR- explore the 33-acre grounds of the San Antonio Botanical Gardens with expansive rose gardens, conservatory with tropical vegetation, and the Texas Native Trail showcasing ecosystems from the diverse regions of the state. Later, we’ll explore the historic Pearl District, a revitalized, cultural hub full of unique eateries and shops. The rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure with your Sisters. (Breakfast)

February 19, 2025

Today, we’ll journey to the German settlement of Fredericksburg for a visit to the National Museum of the Pacific War, dedicated to teaching and preserving this chapter of U.S. history. The old-time Southwest will surround you as we take time to independently explore the quaint shops. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore San Antonio’s beautiful Riverwalk before we join together for dinner at a local restaurant. (Breakfast and Dinner)

February 20, 2025

Today, we’ve got quite an exciting day planned for you! First, we’ll be heading to the Natural Bridge Caverns where we’ll enjoy a private, guided tour of this beautiful natural phenomenon and a private, catered lunch. This afternoon, you’ll have some time to relax, before we join our private, chartered river cruise for an exclusive Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

February 21, 2025

All good things must come to an end, but not without treasured memories of our new friends and Sisters. We’ll transfer to the San Antonio airport for our flights home. (Breakfast)

  • Airfare is not included in your pricing.
  • You will fly roundtrip to San Antonio, Texas (SAT)
  • You can arrive at any time on February 15, 2025, and depart at any time on February 21 , 2025.
  • Check-in time at your arrival hotel is at 3:00 pm.
  • All flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before October 16, 2024. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
  • Arrival transfers are provided only on February 15th from the San Antonio airport to our hotel. Departure transfers are only provided on February 21st from our hotel to the San Antonio airport. If you arrive or depart outside these days and/or you’re needing transfers or hotels elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own arrangements at your own expense.
  • Please don’t schedule any optional excursions on your own for this trip, as we cannot promise that you will arrive in time at any location to make your independent excursion. Sisterhood Travels won’t be liable for any expense you incur because of this.
  • Individual gratuities for your Tour Director, local guides, and coach driver are not included in your pricing. We will provide you with tipping guidelines for your trip.
  • Optional Travel Insurance is not included in your pricing. We will send you a quote via email.

  • There are no refunds for unused portions of this tour.
  • Dates and times of itinerary as well as hotels listed are subject to change without notice due to operational or logistical reasons.
  • If for any reason, our chartered river cruise for our Farewell Dinner cannot operate on our scheduled date and time, we will replace this dinner with a comparable dining experience.

This is a leisurely paced itinerary and is full of cultural and interesting sightseeing and some free time to relax. Some excursion days may include reasonably early starts, some longer coach travel and possibly walking over uneven terrain. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility.
