This morning is all about your choice! You can join a guided walking tour through the charming heart of Charleston, where a local will take us through the city’s hidden alleyways and quiet corners only reachable on foot. Prefer to be on the water instead? Hop aboard a scenic harbor cruise out to Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War rang out. Once there, we’ll meet with a park ranger and take time to explore the historic site at your own pace. Later, we’ll head over to the lively Charleston City Market—one of the oldest public markets in the U.S.—and soak up the sights, sounds, and stories, especially at the Gullah sweetgrass basket stands. These beautiful, handwoven baskets are part of a centuries-old tradition brought from West Africa.

This afternoon, we’ll step back in time with a visit to Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens where we’ll explore one of the country’s oldest still-operating plantations and have the chance to walk through preserved slave cabins that offer powerful insights into America’s past. This evening, we’ll celebrate over a delicious Welcome Dinner at a local favorite restaurant. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

This morning, we’ll discover beautiful Charleston on a horse-drawn carriage ride followed by a Southern barbeque lunch. First, we’ll take your seats for a carriage tour of Charleston to absorb the timeless charm of this enchanting city. Our carriage drivers will bring stories of Charleston to life with commentary as we pass by mansions, churches, and parks. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a hearty lunch of traditional Southern barbeque where we’ll experience the flavors and hospitality that go hand in hand with this staple of Southern culture.

Next, we’ll journey along the scenic coastline into South Carolina’s enchanting Lowcountry and make our way to the historic charm of Savannah, Georgia. Once we arrive, enjoy a relaxed early evening strolling through Factors Walk and River Street—an area where former cotton warehouses have found new life as boutique shops, cozy pubs, and inviting eateries. Tonight, we’ll come together at a well-loved local spot along River Street for a special cooking demonstration. You’ll get a taste of Southern hospitality as you watch regional dishes come to life—then dig in and savor every bite during a delicious dinner highlighting Lowcountry flavors. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
