Canadian Rockies Luxury Rail Journey 2027
Luxury Canadian Rockies rail adventure with friendship, glacier views, and iconic Fairmont stays
8 to 14 Days Up to 30 Sisters
Luxury Canadian Rockies rail adventure with friendship, glacier views, and iconic Fairmont stays
There is a reason our Canadian Rockies Luxury Rail Journey is one of our most popular trips. It combines Gold Leaf rail travel, 5-star Fairmont hotels, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. And honestly, those things would be enough to make this an extraordinary journey.
Women book this trip dreaming about the glass-domed train, the turquoise waters of Lake Louise, the towering mountains, and the chance to finally see the Canadian Rockies for themselves. But when it is over, they talk just as much about the women they met, the friendships they made, and how hard they laughed along the way.
That is what makes this journey so special.
We’ll travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer in Gold Leaf Service, watching the scenery change from Vancouver’s waterfront to the rugged canyons and soaring peaks of the Rockies. We’ll stay at some of Canada’s most iconic hotels, venture onto the Athabasca Glacier, look down through the glass floor of the Glacier Skywalk, and experience lakes and waterfalls so beautiful they barely look real.
But this is not simply a luxury train trip through a beautiful part of the world. It is ten days of sharing extraordinary experiences with women who are every bit as excited to be there as you are. You don’t need someone to travel with. Come on your own, as most of our Sisters do. From the moment we gather in Vancouver, you will be part of something truly special.
This journey sells out quickly, often with a waiting list. If this is the trip you have been waiting for, this is not the year to wait.

Once you have settled in, the rest of the day is entirely yours. After breakfast, we’ll set out to discover Vancouver, and we do mean all of it. Our panoramic city tour brings together sparkling waterfronts, lush green spaces, historic neighborhoods, striking architecture, and some truly spectacular views.
We’ll wind through magnificent Stanley Park and English Bay, explore the color and character of Granville Island, and take in Robson Street, Gastown, Chinatown, and Canada Place. Then we’ll head skyward at Vancouver Lookout for a sweeping view of the city, harbor, mountains, and everything we have just explored.
Tonight, we’ll gather for our Welcome Dinner and raise a glass to the extraordinary journey ahead. The Canadian Rockies are calling, and we are officially on our way.

3 Gold Leaf Service to Kamloops2027-09-03 ▾
This morning, the journey we have been waiting for begins. We’ll transfer to the rail station and board our train for a spectacular day of Gold Leaf Service en route to Kamloops. Today, getting there is not merely part of the experience. It is the experience. As we travel from Vancouver into the heart of British Columbia, the scenery transforms before our eyes. The farmlands of the Fraser Valley give way to rushing rivers, steep canyons, rugged desert landscapes, and the vast beauty of Kamloops Lake. Along the way, we’ll pass legendary Hell’s Gate and the historic railroad bridges at Cisco Crossing.
Between the ever-changing views, attentive Gold Leaf service, delicious meals, beverages, and snacks, the only real challenge today will be deciding where to look next. Upon arrival at the Kamloops rail siding, we’ll transfer to our overnight accommodations. This evening is yours to explore Kamloops and enjoy dinner independently with your Sisters.
_Our Kamloops accommodations will be assigned and provided at check-in. Because Kamloops serves as the overnight stop along the rail journey, lodging here is comfortable 3-star accommodation offering essential amenities and friendly service. It will be more moderate than the luxury properties featured throughout the rest of our journey._

4 Into the Canadian Rockies2027-09-04 ▾
Early this morning, we’ll return to the Rocky Mountaineer, settle back into Gold Leaf comfort, and continue east toward one of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth. Outside our windows, ranchlands and peaceful lakeshores gradually give way to soaring peaks, dramatic mountain passes, and remarkable tunnels carved through the Canadian Rockies. We’ll pass Craigellachie, where the final spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, cross the impressive Stoney Creek Bridge, and travel through the ingenious Spiral Tunnels. This is Canadian rail history unfolding against a backdrop that becomes more spectacular by the mile.
We’ll arrive at the Banff train siding later this evening and transfer to the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs, our luxury home in Banff National Park. Yes, it looks like a castle. And yes, we get to stay there.

5 Glaciers, Glass Floors, and a Rather Remarkable Dinner2027-09-05 ▾
After breakfast, we’ll set out for a full day of adventure among the towering peaks and ancient ice of the Canadian Rockies. Our first experience takes us onto the Athabasca Glacier aboard a massive six-wheeled Ice Explorer. Because apparently a regular sightseeing vehicle simply will not do. As we travel across the glacier, our guide will share the fascinating story of this frozen landscape. We’ll admire the scenery, breathe in the mountain air, and yes, learn some things too.
Next comes the Glacier Skywalk, beginning with a 1,640-foot interpretive walkway leading to a glass-floored observation platform suspended 98 feet above the Sunwapta Valley. The views are extraordinary. Looking straight down is entirely optional. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch at the Columbia Icefield before continuing our exploration of this magnificent region. Back at the Fairmont Banff Springs this evening, we’ll gather for a wonderful tableside dinner and relive a day that took our Canadian Rockies adventure to entirely new heights.

6 Mountains, Lakes & Waterfalls to Lake Louise2027-09-06 ▾
After breakfast, we’ll leave Banff behind and travel by deluxe motorcoach through a landscape that seems determined to outdo itself at every turn. Our full-day journey takes us into Yoho National Park, where we’ll see the historic Spiral Tunnels, the impossibly vivid waters of Emerald Lake, a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River, magnificent Moraine Lake, and the soaring Takakkaw Falls. This is one of those days when “beautiful” begins to feel like a woefully inadequate word.
We’ll pause for lunch together at the wonderfully scenic Emerald Lake Lodge before continuing to Lake Louise and our next extraordinary address, the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier, and the shimmering turquoise waters of Lake Louise, the hotel’s setting is nothing short of spectacular. It is also home to the award-winning BASIN Glacier Waters Spa, just in case gazing at one of the world’s most celebrated views is not relaxing enough.

7 Lake Louise, Your Way2027-09-07 ▾
No motorcoach. No schedule. No need to be anywhere until dinner. Today belongs entirely to you. Sleep a little later, linger over breakfast, treat yourself to time at the spa, wander beside the lake, explore with your Sisters, or simply find the perfect spot to sit and absorb that astonishing view. This is the luxury of having time to enjoy Lake Louise instead of merely taking a photograph and moving along.
This evening, we’ll come back together for a wonderful tableside dinner at our spectacular resort, where the setting is every bit as memorable as the meal.

8 One More Mountain View Before Calgary2027-09-08 ▾
After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Lake Louise and begin our full-day sightseeing journey to Calgary. But the Canadian Rockies are not quite finished showing off yet.
In Banff, we’ll visit Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the remarkable Hoodoos before taking our sightseeing to a much higher level aboard the Banff Gondola. In just eight minutes, our fully enclosed four-passenger cabin will carry us to the top of Sulphur Mountain for a spectacular bird’s-eye view across six mountain ranges. Yes, six. Apparently, one or two simply would not have been impressive enough.
Upon arrival in Calgary, we’ll check into the beautiful Fairmont Palliser in the heart of downtown. With some of the city’s best shopping, arts, culture, dining, and entertainment within walking distance, the evening is yours to explore and enjoy dinner independently with your Sisters.

Breakfast Fairmont Palliser Hotel
9 Calgary at Your Own Pace2027-09-09 ▾
Our final full day is yours to enjoy however you please. Explore Calgary’s shops, neighborhoods, galleries, and attractions with your Sisters, linger over a leisurely lunch, or simply enjoy the luxury of an unscheduled day at the magnificent Fairmont Palliser. By now, you will have earned the right to decide that doing absolutely nothing is also a perfectly respectable itinerary.
Tonight, we’ll gather for our Farewell Dinner and raise a glass to Gold Leaf journeys, turquoise lakes, soaring mountains, plenty of laughter, and the new friendships that made it all unforgettable.

10 Until Our Next Adventure2027-09-10 ▾
Nobody particularly enjoys departure day, and this one is no exception. After breakfast, we’ll transfer to Calgary International Airport for our flights home. We may be leaving the Canadian Rockies behind, but we’ll take home the stories, laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments that made this journey so much more than a beautiful vacation.

Activity Level: 2-Leisurely
This luxurious rail and sightseeing journey through the Canadian Rockies is ideal for women who enjoy a relaxed pace, breathtaking scenery, and occasional light walking. While most activities involve comfortable transportation by train or motorcoach, there are several days with gentle walking, standing for short periods, and getting on and off vehicles.
Walking & Standing
Daily activities may include short walking tours through city streets, scenic overlooks, and national park sites such as Emerald Lake, Lake Louise, and the Columbia Icefield. Some sightseeing, such as visiting the Glacier Skywalk, riding the Banff Gondola, or exploring downtown Vancouver and Calgary, requires standing or walking on paved, gravel, or uneven paths for up to an hour at a time. Elevators are available at all major hotels, and pacing is leisurely.
Terrain, Transport & Accommodations
You'll travel in style aboard the Rocky Mountaineer in Gold Leaf Service, enjoying panoramic views, gourmet meals, and attentive service from your double-deck dome coach. Rail travel involves getting on and off the train and a short walk to/from overnight hotels in Kamloops. All motorcoach transfers are private and comfortable, with onboard commentary and photo stops. Accommodations range from upscale city hotels to iconic Fairmont resorts in Banff and Lake Louise, each offering full amenities, luggage service, and central access to attractions.
Altitude Considerations
Parts of this journey take place at higher elevations, up to 5300 feet above sea level. While most travelers experience little to no discomfort at these altitudes, you may notice mild symptoms such as shortness of breath or fatigue during physical activity. The pace of the trip is designed to be gentle, and plenty of rest opportunities are provided. Hydration, taking it slow, and avoiding strenuous exertion can help alleviate any mild effects of elevation.
