This morning, step into the world of traditional Vietnamese culture with a visit to the home of a master water puppet artist, where you’ll learn about this beloved centuries-old art form. Then, experience the sights and sounds of Hanoi from a traditional cyclo as you weave through the bustling streets of the historic Old Quarter. This afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace to browse local shops, discover hidden cafés, or simply soak up the atmosphere of Vietnam’s captivating capital. Tonight, mingle with your Sisters on lively Beer Street before gathering for a special Welcome Dinner to celebrate the beginning of our Vietnam adventure.
What’s your pleasure this morning? You can choose to visit the famous Train Street, where daily life unfolds just steps from the railway tracks, or enjoy a bowl of legendary bún chả at the restaurant made famous by Anthony Bourdain and President Obama. Later, discover some of Hanoi’s most important landmarks, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. We’ll also enjoy lunch at a social enterprise restaurant that creates opportunities for local youth through culinary training.
Tonight is a true highlight as we explore Hanoi’s incredible food scene from the back of a vintage Vespa. Cruise through the city’s vibrant streets, sampling local favorites such as pho and egg coffee while experiencing the energy of Hanoi after dark. This is Vietnam at its most authentic, flavorful, and unforgettable.
Today we leave the energy of Hanoi behind and journey into the breathtaking landscapes of Mai Chau. Surrounded by misty mountains, emerald rice paddies, and traditional stilt-house villages, this peaceful valley offers a glimpse into a slower, more authentic side of Vietnam. Upon arrival, stretch your legs with a walk through the countryside, where you’ll experience local village life and the natural beauty that makes this region so special. Tonight, settle into our eco-lodge and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, a world away from the bustle of the city.
Today offers a deeper connection to the people and traditions of Mai Chau. Visit Hich Village, where you’ll meet a Vietnam War veteran and their family, gaining a personal perspective on the region’s history through stories and conversation. Later, enjoy a special Sisterhood Supporting Women experience at Hoa Ban, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering women from the White Thai minority through vocational training and opportunity. This evening, we’ll be welcomed into a local home for a traditional dinner, sharing regional dishes, warm hospitality, and an authentic glimpse into the customs and culture of the White Thai community.
We’re going to journey to Ninh Binh today, a region known for its dramatic limestone peaks, winding waterways, and stunning natural beauty. Often called “Ha Long Bay on Land,” this picturesque area is one of Vietnam’s hidden gems. Along the way, we’ll explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, where centuries-old temples and historic ruins tell the story of the country’s early dynasties. This afternoon, choose your adventure: climb to the Hang Mua viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views over the countryside, or enjoy a relaxing massage at the hotel spa. The choice is yours.
This morning, step into a traditional rowboat and glide through the magical waterways of Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by jungle-covered limestone peaks. Along the way, we’ll pass through a series of atmospheric caves and grottos, including Bright Cave, Dark Cave, Ba Giot, and Nau Ruou, as this hidden world slowly reveals itself around you. This evening, enjoy a special opportunity to connect with local life during a home-hosted experience. We’ll join our hosts for a hands-on cooking class before sitting down together to share a delicious meal, conversation, and warm Vietnamese hospitality.
Today we’ll travel to the legendary Ha Long Bay and board our ship for a spectacular two-night cruise through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we sail past towering limestone formations and emerald waters, take in some of the bay’s most iconic scenery, including the picturesque islets that dot the landscape.
This afternoon, explore a local coastal village your way: either by bicycle or electric cart. Your visit will offer a glimpse into everyday life far from Vietnam’s bustling cities. We’ll also enjoy a special Sisterhood Supporting Communities experience at Bhaya Community Farm, where you’ll learn about sustainable farming initiatives and the Save the Langurs conservation project dedicated to protecting one of the world’s rarest primates. Enjoy beautiful countryside views, meet local community members, and even try your hand at making traditional treats. Back on board, settle in and enjoy the magic of Ha Long Bay as the sun begins to set over the limestone karsts, creating one of the most unforgettable scenes of the journey.
Wake up to the beauty of Ha Long Bay and start the day with a peaceful Tai Chi session on deck as the sun rises over the limestone peaks. Later, explore the stunning Trinh Nu area by kayak, paddling through secluded coves and beneath dramatic cliffs that rise straight from the emerald waters. After lunch on board, discover the charm of Cua Van Floating Village, one of the most picturesque communities in Vietnam. Explore by kayak or traditional rowing boat as you glide past colorful floating homes, fishing boats, and the daily rhythms of life on the bay. As another day in this extraordinary landscape comes to a close, relax on board and soak in a second unforgettable sunset over Ha Long Bay.

Later, we bid farewell to this UNESCO World Heritage Site and return to Hanoi. This evening, gather with your Sisters for a special dinner as we reflect on our unforgettable experiences in northern Vietnam.
Today we fly south to vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, where French colonial architecture, bustling boulevards, and modern city life combine to create an exciting contrast to the landscapes of northern Vietnam. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a guided introduction to the city’s fascinating history, culture, and iconic landmarks before sitting down to lunch at a local restaurant. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Browse the stalls of Ben Thanh Market, discover hidden cafés, indulge in a little shopping, or simply soak up the energy of Vietnam’s largest city.
Today we journey into the lush landscapes of the Mekong Delta, where rivers, canals, and waterways shape everyday life. Cruise through this fascinating region, passing stilt houses, local villages, and scenes of river life that have changed little over generations. Along the way, we’ll visit a traditional coconut candy workshop to learn how one of the region’s most beloved treats is made, with the chance to sample a few fresh-from-the-source sweets. After enjoying a delicious local lunch, we’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City with a deeper appreciation for this unique and vibrant corner of Vietnam.
This morning, explore the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network that played a significant role during the Vietnam War. As you learn about the ingenuity, resilience, and resourcefulness of those who lived and worked within this hidden world, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of an important chapter in Vietnam’s history. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy with your besties. Continue exploring Ho Chi Minh City, do some last-minute shopping, relax at a café, or simply soak up the atmosphere of this dynamic city before we gather together for dinner this evening.
Today we journey to the coastal region of Phan Thiet and Mui Né, an area famous for its fishing heritage, seaside landscapes, and unique natural beauty. Along the way, visit the Lang Chai Xua Fish Sauce Museum, where you’ll discover the fascinating story behind one of Vietnam’s most iconic culinary staples. Learn how this centuries-old tradition has shaped the culture, cuisine, and livelihoods of the region for generations. Later, experience one of Mui Né’s most memorable sights as we head to the Red Sand Dunes. As the sun begins to set, watch the landscape transform into a stunning display of warm colors across the rolling dunes—a perfect introduction to this beautiful coastal destination. Tonight, settle into our resort and enjoy a relaxing night at leisure by the sea.
This morning, experience the authentic rhythm of coastal life with a visit to Mui Né Fishing Village. Meet local fishermen and gain insight into traditions that have been passed down through generations. Depending on the day’s activities, you may have the opportunity to try your hand at net weaving, help repair fishing equipment, or even head out on the water for a glimpse into daily life at sea. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Relax on the beach, take advantage of the resort’s amenities, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere of Vietnam’s beautiful coastline. Tonight, we’ll come together for a special Farewell Dinner to celebrate the unforgettable experiences, meaningful connections, and memories we’ve shared throughout our journey from northern Vietnam to the south.

This tour is ideal for women who enjoy active sightseeing balanced with leisure time and cultural immersion. You'll explore vibrant cities, historic sites, traditional villages, scenic countryside, and the breathtaking waterways of northern and southern Vietnam. While several days include walking tours and extended sightseeing, the pace is comfortable overall, with free time built into the itinerary and no significant altitude concerns. Travelers should be comfortable walking for extended periods, navigating uneven surfaces, and spending full days exploring a variety of destinations.
Many days include walking tours through historic districts, local markets, villages, temples, and cultural sites. Travelers should be comfortable walking 1 to 3 miles throughout the day, often broken up by sightseeing stops, meals, and transportation. Some walking tours may last up to several hours and require extended periods of standing while guides provide commentary. Historic areas such as Hanoi's Old Quarter, Ho Chi Minh City, village communities, and local markets feature uneven sidewalks, narrow pathways, and occasional steps. Travelers should be comfortable navigating crowded environments, especially in busy urban areas and popular attractions.
Most sightseeing takes place on relatively flat terrain, although travelers will encounter occasional uneven surfaces, cobblestones, dirt paths, village roads, and steps at cultural and historical sites. Those choosing the optional climb to the Hang Mua viewpoint in Ninh Binh should expect a steep stair climb, while those preferring a less active experience may opt for the spa alternative. Throughout the tour, activities are designed to be accessible to travelers with average mobility, though good balance and stamina are beneficial.
Several unique transportation experiences are included throughout the journey. In Hanoi, you'll explore the Old Quarter aboard traditional cyclos and experience the city's vibrant nightlife from the back of a vintage Vespa during an evening food tour. Both experiences are fully guided, and travelers ride as passengers. In Ninh Binh, you'll glide through the waterways of Trang An aboard traditional rowboats operated by local boat rowers, allowing you to simply sit back and enjoy the scenery. During your Ha Long Bay cruise, opportunities may be available to explore parts of the bay by kayak or traditional rowing boat. Travelers who prefer not to kayak can enjoy the rowing boat option instead.
This itinerary includes one domestic flight from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, several coach transfers between destinations, and a two-night cruise through Ha Long Bay. Smaller motor coaches may be used throughout portions of the tour and may not be equipped with onboard restrooms. Frequent comfort stops are provided during longer travel periods.
This journey spans two distinct regions of Vietnam. In northern Vietnam, travelers can expect mild spring temperatures with occasional mist, light drizzle, and cooler mornings and evenings. Southern Vietnam is typically warm to hot, with abundant sunshine and higher humidity levels. Dressing in layers is recommended to accommodate changing conditions throughout the tour.

International airfare is not included in your pricing. You will fly into Hanoi (HAN) and depart from Ho Chi Minh (SGN).
You can arrive at any time on March 2, 2028, and depart at any time after 6:00 pm on March 18, 2028.
Check-in time at your arrival hotel is at 3:00 pm.
All international flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before January 2, 2028. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
Arrival transfers are provided only on March 2, 2028, from the Hanoi airport to our hotel. Departure transfers are only provided on March 18, 2028, from our hotel to the Ho Chi Minh airport. If you arrive or depart outside these days and times, or you’re needing transfers or hotels elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own arrangements at your own expense.
One group flight is included in your pricing from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh, in economy class with no opportunity for upgrades. Seating assignments and flight times will be provided to you once on the tour.
Complete valid passport information is required on or before October 1, 2027. You are required to travel with a passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of your return. If you fail to submit your complete and accurate information on time, we cannot guarantee your travel arrangements, including your group flights, and you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
