Activity Level:
Moderate
This elegant journey through the French Riviera is ideal for women who are comfortable walking and standing for moderate periods while exploring historic towns, cultural landmarks, and coastal villages. With one centrally located hotel in Nice as our home base, you’ll enjoy the comfort of unpacking just once while experiencing the very best of the Côte d’Azur and beyond.
Walking & Standing: Expect walking tours most days, often through historic districts such as Nice’s Old Town, Monaco, Cannes, Èze, and St. Paul de Vence. Some sightseeing requires navigating steep inclines, cobblestone or gravel paths, and staircases without railings—particularly in Monaco, Èze, and St. Paul de Vence. While touring markets, gardens, and villages, you may also stand for extended periods. Free time is built into the itinerary to balance activity with relaxation.
Terrain, Transport & Accessibility: Due to local regulations and the nature of historic centers, motor coaches are restricted in certain areas. This means that, at times, you’ll need to walk between the drop-off point and entrances to sites. You’ll also board boats for excursions to Saint-Honorat Island and cross into Italy by motor coach. Comfortable walking shoes with good traction are essential, as terrain varies from smooth promenades to uneven stone lanes.
Pace & Flexibility: The itinerary offers a balance of guided exploration and leisure time. Sisters who are comfortable with daily activity, including walking on inclines, standing, and occasional steps, will find this tour both manageable and rewarding. Those who prefer to skip a more strenuous village walk can often choose to relax at a café or explore at their own pace.
