Cancellation Policy

PLEASE READ OUR CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY EFFECTIVE MARCH 19TH, 2026

We understand that plans can change, and we want to provide clear expectations about how cancellations, refunds, transfers, and double occupancy situations are handled at Sisterhood Travels. This page is intended to be a summary of our cancellation-related policies. For the complete terms governing your reservation, please review our full Terms and Conditions.

The policies found below are important to maintain the high level of service and attention that Sisterhood Travels is known for. We rely on firm commitments from our travelers. We plan arrangements with hotels and other vendors well in advance to ensure a seamless experience, and our policies help us uphold these agreements while offering exceptional travel experiences.

How to Cancel Your Trip
If you wish to cancel your participation in a trip, you must first send your cancellation request in writing by email to administration@sisterhoodtravels.com. Cancellations sent to any other email address will not be processed. After we receive your email, you will be sent a formal electronic Cancellation Form that must be completed and submitted for your cancellation to become effective.

Your cancellation is considered effective once the Cancellation Form has been received by Sisterhood Travels. Cancellation Forms received after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on a business day, or on a non-business day, will be treated as received on the next business day. Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to make exceptions to the Cancellation Form requirement in its discretion.

Cancellations On or Before the Final Payment Date
If you cancel on or before the Final Payment Date, the following amounts are non-refundable and non-transferable:

  • Your Reservation Deposit
  • Any Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payments

Any eligible Progress Payments made before the Final Payment Date will be refunded within 30 calendar days of receipt of your cancellation notice, less a 3% Administrative Fee.

Cancellations After the Final Payment Date
If you cancel after the Final Payment Date, all monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes your Reservation Deposit, Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payments, Progress Payments, and any other amounts paid toward the trip.

If You Do Not Make the Final Payment
Failure to pay your remaining trip balance by the Final Payment Date is treated the same as a post-final-payment cancellation. All monies paid remain non-refundable and non-transferable.

Flexible Booking Option
Sisterhood Travels may, in its discretion, allow a traveler to transfer their reservation to another Sisterhood Travels trip under our Flexible Booking Policy. To be eligible, the request must be received:

  • at least 180 days before the original trip departure date, or
  • at least 270 days before the original trip departure date if group air or specialized permits are included in the trip pricing

All transfer requests must be submitted in writing by email to administration@sisterhoodtravels.com.

If approved, all payments toward the original trip may be applied as a Sisterhood Travels Credit toward a new Sisterhood Travels trip, less a $250 Administrative Fee. If a supplier charges additional fees for the cancellation or other services, that amount will also be deducted from the available credit.

Important Flexible Booking Terms:

  • Each reservation is eligible for one transfer only
  • The new trip must have available space at the time of transfer
  • Transfers cannot be made to sold-out or waitlisted trips
  • Travel credits must be used for a new trip departing within 18 months of the original trip departure date
  • Travel credits have no cash value and are non-transferable
  • The traveler is responsible for any difference in trip pricing

This Flexible Booking Policy is offered as a courtesy and may be modified or discontinued by Sisterhood Travels at any time.

Double Occupancy Cancellations
Trips may offer both single occupancy and double occupancy accommodations. If you book double occupancy, you will share accommodations with another Sisterhood Travels traveler.

If you book with a chosen roommate and that roommate later cancels or becomes unavailable, Sisterhood Travels is not required to provide a replacement roommate. If a replacement is not found by two weeks after the Final Payment Date, the remaining traveler may be required to upgrade to single occupancy, if available, at her expense, or cancel under the applicable cancellation terms.

If no roommate is found and single occupancy is available, the traveler may upgrade by paying the additional amount due within 24 hours of electing the upgrade.

If no roommate is found and no single occupancy is available, the traveler may be required to cancel the trip. In that circumstance, the traveler will be eligible for a refund of monies paid to Sisterhood Travels for the trip, excluding Airfare Assistance Fees and similar separate service fees. Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for additional expenses such as airfare.

If two travelers book together as roommates and one traveler cancels for any reason, the remaining traveler is responsible for the full cost of the accommodations. Sisterhood Travels is not obligated to provide a replacement roommate in that situation. The remaining traveler may be required to upgrade to single occupancy, if available, and pay any applicable single supplement, or accept any alternative arrangements offered by Sisterhood Travels, if available. Standard cancellation terms will apply to the canceling traveler.

Travel Insurance
At Sisterhood Travels, your well-being matters to us. We want you to enjoy every moment of your journey, but travel, whether in the United States or abroad, always carries risks you cannot predict or control. Some of our trips require the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance. When that requirement applies, it will be communicated on the trip webpage, in the Registration Form, and in your Trip Plans App. Not all trips have this requirement, but when it is not required, we still strongly encourage the purchase of travel insurance.

Invest in protecting yourself. Travel insurance is one of those things you hope you will never need, but if you do, it can mean the difference between a manageable inconvenience and significant financial loss. For your safety, your finances, and your peace of mind, we strongly recommend that every traveler purchase travel insurance and consider Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, if available. It is your responsibility to select appropriate coverage, review your policy terms, understand any exclusions and limitations, file claims, and comply with all insurer deadlines and requirements.

When you sign up for a trip with Sisterhood Travels, you will receive a quote from our preferred travel insurance provider, RoamRight, or you can choose from a trusted provider of your choice. You may request additional quotes at any time.

No Exceptions to Cancellation Terms
Except where expressly stated in our Terms and Conditions or where required by law, no exceptions will be made to cancellation penalties, payment deadlines, or refund eligibility. Travel insurance is the primary means of protecting yourself from financial loss due to cancellation or interruption.
