IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS CAREFULLY.
These Terms & Conditions, effective March 19, 2026, contain important provisions that affect your legal rights, including limitations of liability, waiver of certain claims, assumption of travel risks, cancellation and refund policies, dispute resolution through binding arbitration, and class action waiver.
By booking a Trip with Sisterhood Travels, submitting payment, or participating in any Trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you should not book or participate in a Trip offered by Sisterhood Travels.
These Terms & Conditions supersede all prior versions of terms and conditions issued by Sisterhood Travels and shall apply to all Trips departing on or after March 19, 2026.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
These Terms & Conditions of Travel (“Terms”) govern all trips, retreats, tours, vacations, events, and travel experiences (collectively, “Trip” or “Trips”) offered by Unique Travel and Getaways, LLC, doing business as Sisterhood Travels and/or Groupit Travel (“Sisterhood Travels,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By booking, paying for, joining, participating in, or otherwise engaging with any Trip, you (“Traveler,” “Client,” or “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
1.1 Binding Agreement
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sisterhood Travels.
1.2 Acceptance Required
Only individuals who affirmatively accept these Terms and indicate their consent to be bound may book or participate in a Trip.
1.3 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with your reservation details, Trip-specific information, itinerary, Code of Conduct, Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability, and any other written materials expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sisterhood Travels.
1.4 Opportunity to Review
You are responsible for thoroughly reviewing these Terms, including the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability provisions. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to ask questions before booking.
1.5 Modifications to Terms
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to amend, revise, or update these Terms at any time, with or without notice. You must review the Terms then posted on the Sisterhood Travels website before making each booking. The Terms are in effect for all bookings, regardless of date the booking was made, and shall apply to your reservation unless a change is required by law or operational necessity.
1.6 Errors and Omissions
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in Trip descriptions, pricing, itineraries, availability, or other published information at any time. Sisterhood Travels shall not be responsible for typographical errors, technical errors, or supplier-provided inaccuracies.
2. BOOKING INFORMATION AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
2.1 Accuracy of Booking Information
You are responsible for immediately reviewing all aspects of your booking reservation for accuracy, including but not limited to legal first, middle, and last name; mailing address; email address; telephone number; date of birth; country of citizenship; passport number; passport expiration date; emergency contact information; required vaccination status when applicable; known allergies; dietary restrictions; pricing; and, selected organized activities when applicable.
2.2 Legal Name Requirement
The legal name on your booking must exactly match your government-issued travel documents, including but not limited to your passport.
2.3 Errors and Omissions
You must notify Sisterhood Travels immediately if any omissions or corrections are needed. Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for errors, omissions, or costs arising from inaccurate or incomplete traveler information. You assume full and sole responsibility for all risks and costs resulting from incorrect or omitted information.
2.4 Travel Documents
For international travel, you are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required travel documents, including but not limited to passport; visa(s); vaccination records; health certificates; entry permits; immigration documents; and, any other destination-specific requirements.
2.5 Passport Validity
As a general rule, Sisterhood Travels recommends that your passport remain valid for at least six (6) months after the end date of your Trip, based on typical destination requirements.
2.6 Denied Boarding or Entry
If you are denied boarding, denied entry, delayed, detained, or removed from a destination due to missing, invalid, expired, inaccurate, or insufficient documentation, you are solely responsible for all resulting losses and expenses. No refund shall be due from Sisterhood Travels.
2.7 Possession of Documents
You are required to carry your required travel documents on your person as appropriate during the Trip.
2.8 Required Information and Documentation
Travelers must provide all requested information and documentation required by Sisterhood Travels or its suppliers within the deadlines communicated by the Company.
Required information may include but is not limited to passport photocopy; emergency contact information; flight itinerary details including confirmation (PNR/record locator) number; signed waivers or participation agreements; health questionnaires; activity waivers; insurance confirmations when requested; supplier-required forms; and, other operational or safety documentation.
Failure to provide required information, documentation, or signed agreements by the specified deadline may result in one or more of the following actions, at the sole discretion of Sisterhood Travels: withholding of final Trip documents; denial of participation in certain activities; cancellation of the traveler’s reservation; or removal from the Trip.
If a traveler’s reservation is canceled or participation is denied due to failure to provide required information or documentation, standard cancellation penalties will apply as of the date of cancellation.
3. PAYMENTS
3.1 Accepted Payment Methods
Sisterhood Travels accepts most major credit cards, including Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard.
3.2 Reservation Deposit
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit (“Reservation Deposit”) is required to reserve your place on a Trip. A reservation is not accepted, and no place is held unless the Reservation Deposit is paid in full together with the required reservation documentation and agreements.
3.3 Additional Non-Refundable Deposits
Certain Trips may require additional non-refundable, non-transferable deposits (“Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payments”). These deadlines and amounts will be communicated on the reservation form, Trip website, billing statement, or other Trip materials.
3.4 Failure to Pay Additional Deposits
Failure to make any required Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payment by the required date may result in cancellation of your reservation. If your reservation is canceled for failure to make such payment, you will not receive a refund of your Reservation Deposit and/or other required non-refundable deposits already paid.
3.5 Final Payment
The “Final Payment Date” is the last date on which the remaining Trip balance must be paid. The Final Payment Date may be listed on the Trip page, reservation form, billing statement, or related Trip materials. Full payment must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the Final Payment Date.
3.6 Failure to Make Final Payment
If you cannot meet the obligation to pay by the Final Payment Date, you should notify Sisterhood Travels in advance. Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the Final Payment Date may result in cancellation of your reservation. If canceled for nonpayment, you will not receive a refund of your Reservation Deposit or any Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payments.
3.7 Progress Payments
You may make voluntary additional payments toward your Trip balance before the Final Payment Date. These are “Progress Payments.” Progress Payments are not required to maintain your reservation.
3.8 Refund of Progress Payments
If your reservation is canceled for any reason before the Final Payment Date, eligible Progress Payments are refundable less three percent (3%) for Administration Fees.
3.9 Price Fluctuations
Due to the nature of travel, pricing may fluctuate because of currency exchange rates, fuel surcharges, taxes, fees, supplier price changes, and other factors beyond the control of Sisterhood Travels. Pricing and availability are not guaranteed until the Final Payment Date and full payment has been received.
3.10 Required Price Increases
If the Trip price increases before the Final Payment Date and/or before full payment has been received, Sisterhood Travels will communicate the increase to you. You must pay the additional amount due to maintain your reservation. Failure to do so may result in cancellation without refund of the Reservation Deposit and/or Additional Non-Refundable Deposit Payments.
3.11 Incidentals
You are solely responsible for all incidental expenses not expressly included in the Trip price, including but not limited to taxes, surcharges, fees, fuel surcharges, private transfers, and similar expenses.
3.12 Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If a traveler believes a billing error has occurred, the traveler agrees to notify Sisterhood Travels promptly and allow the Company an opportunity to review and resolve the issue before initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal through a credit card company, bank, or other financial institution.
By submitting payment, the traveler acknowledges that charges consistent with these Terms & Conditions are authorized and valid.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for charges that were authorized and properly imposed under these Terms may be considered a breach of this agreement.
In the event of an improper or bad-faith payment dispute, Sisterhood Travels reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to cancel the traveler’s reservation; remove the traveler from the Trip; revoke any issued travel credits; refuse future bookings; or recover any costs incurred in responding to the dispute, including administrative expenses and reasonable legal fees.
Nothing in this section limits a traveler’s rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
4. CANCELLATION BY TRAVELER
Reservation deposits and certain payments are non-refundable. Please review the cancellation and Flexible Booking Policy below carefully before booking.
4.1 Required Method of Cancellation
All cancellations must be initiated in writing by email to: administration@sisterhoodtravels.com. Cancellations sent to any other address will not be processed. Upon receipt of a cancellation email, you will receive a formal, electronic Cancellation Form which must be completed and submitted upon receipt.
4.2 Effective Date of Cancellation
A cancellation is effective when the provided Cancellation Form is received by Sisterhood Travels. Cancellation Forms received after 11:59 pm Eastern Time on a business day, or on a non-business day, will be deemed received on the next business day. Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to make exceptions to the Cancellation Form requirement.
4.3 Cancellation On or Before Final Payment Date
If you cancel on or before the Final Payment Date:
4.3.1 Non-Refundable Amounts
The following amounts are non-refundable and non-transferable:
4.3.2 Progress Payments
Eligible Progress Payments will be refunded within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of your cancellation notice, less the 3% Administration Fee.
4.4 Cancellation After Final Payment Date
If you cancel after the Final Payment Date, all monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
4.5 Failure to Pay by Final Payment Date
Failure to pay your remaining Trip balance by the Final Payment Date is treated the same as post-final-payment cancellation. All monies paid remain non-refundable and non-transferable.
4.6 No-Show
Failure to appear for the Trip, any portion of the Trip, or any included service is treated as a post-final-payment cancellation. No refund, credit, or transfer will be issued.
4.7 Voluntary Early Departure or Missed Services
No refund, credit, or adjustment shall be provided for unused Trip portions, including but not limited to missed flights, missed transfers, late arrivals, early departures, skipped excursions, missed meals, missed hotel nights, missed sightseeing, refusal to participate, inability to participate, removal from specific activities, or missed portions caused by personal choice or personal circumstances.
4.8 Cancellations Based on Personal Opinions or Viewpoints
If Sisterhood Travels determines that a Trip can operate safely and reasonably, your decision to cancel due to personal concerns, opinions, or viewpoints, including but not limited to political instability, media coverage, travel advisories, acts of war occurring outside the destination, perceived safety concerns, disease concerns, or anxiety about future events, shall be treated as a voluntary cancellation subject to the standard cancellation terms.
4.9 No Exceptions to Cancellation Terms
Sisterhood Travels strictly enforces its cancellation terms, payment deadlines, and refund policies. Except where expressly stated in these Terms & Conditions or where required by applicable law, no exceptions will be made to cancellation penalties, payment deadlines, or refund eligibility.
Circumstances that do not alter or waive the cancellation terms include but are not limited to personal emergencies; illness or injury; family emergencies; work conflicts; visa or passport issues; airline delays or cancellations; fear of travel; political conditions; government travel advisories; weather concerns; changes in personal circumstances; inability to obtain travel documents; or any other personal reason.
Travel insurance is the primary means of protecting against financial loss resulting from cancellation or interruption of travel.
4.10 Flexible Booking Option
Travelers may request to transfer their reservation to another Sisterhood Travels trip subject to approval by Sisterhood Travels, provided the request is received at least one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the original trip departure date or, at least two hundred seventy (270) days prior to the original trip departure date if group air, or specialized permits are included in the trip pricing. A $250 administrative transfer fee will apply and will be deducted from all payments previously made.
All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to Sisterhood Travels by email at administration@sisterhoodtravels.com.
All payments made to Sisterhood Travels toward the original trip may be applied as a Sisterhood Travels Credit toward a new Sisterhood Travels trip. If a name change fee or other service fee is charged by our supplier, this will be deducted from your travel credit amount.
Each reservation is eligible for one (1) transfer only. Once a transfer has been approved and processed by Sisterhood Travels, the reservation shall not be eligible for any additional transfers, and the traveler may not transfer the reservation to another trip thereafter.
Travel credits must be applied to a new trip departing within eighteen (18) months of the original trip departure date, have no cash value, and are non-transferable.
Transfers are subject to availability and any difference in trip pricing. The new trip must have available space at the time the transfer request is made. Transfers may not be made to trips that are sold out or waitlisted. Travel credits may only be used by the original traveler and may not be transferred, assigned, sold, or applied to another individual.
This Flexible Booking Policy is offered as a courtesy and may be modified or discontinued by Sisterhood Travels at any time.
5. TRAVEL INSURANCE
5.1 Strong Recommendation
Sisterhood Travels strongly recommends that every traveler purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
5.2 Recommended Coverage
Travel insurance should include, where available: trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage loss or delay, medical coverage, emergency evacuation, repatriation, and, supplier default coverage
5.3 Cancel For Any Reason Coverage
Travelers are strongly encouraged to consider Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage.
5.4 Quote Assistance
Sisterhood Travels may provide a quote for travel insurance and may receive a commission if you purchase such insurance through a preferred provider. You remain free to purchase travel insurance from a provider of your choice.
5.5 Traveler Responsibility
You are solely responsible for obtaining insurance if desired, selecting appropriate coverage, reviewing policy terms, reviewing exclusions and limitations, filing claims, and, complying with insurer deadlines and requirements.
5.6 No Insurance Liability
Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for policy exclusions, claim denials, insurer solvency, claim processing, insufficient coverage, your failure to obtain adequate coverage, or bankruptcy, insolvency, merger, receivership, or business decisions of any insurer.
5.7 No Claims Handling Duty
Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for submitting any claim to your insurance carrier. Questions regarding coverage, claim handling, or claim outcomes must be directed to your insurer.
5.8 Financial Risk Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that failure to obtain travel insurance may result in significant financial loss and that Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for that loss.
6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF INHERENT TRAVEL AND FINANCIAL RISK
6.1 Inherent Risks of Travel
You acknowledge that domestic and international travel involve inherent risks, both known and unknown, which may affect your Trip before, during, or after departure.
6.2 Examples of Risk
These risks include, without limitation:
Political and Security Risks including, but not limited to war, threat of war, armed conflict, military activity, terrorism, threats of terrorism, civil unrest, insurrection, rebellion, riots, protests, political instability, localized violence, crime, piracy, and kidnapping.
Governmental and Regulatory Risks including but not limited to travel advisories, border closures, visa restrictions, passport issues, government restraints, sanctions, quarantine rules, health declarations, customs delays, airport restrictions, transportation restrictions, and government travel bans.
Public Health and Environmental Risks including but not limited to epidemics, pandemics, outbreaks, communicable illness, bacteria, allergens, undercooked or improperly prepared food, environmental hazards, extreme weather, natural disasters, volcanic activity, flooding, earthquakes, wildfires, animal exposure, insect exposure, and native or exotic plants.
Travel and Supplier Risks including but not limited to airline cancellations, airline schedule changes, missed connections, cruise disruptions, hotel overbooking, supplier insolvency, supplier operational failure, transportation failures, labor strikes, infrastructure failures, and internet or power outages.
6.3 Financial Risk Without Receipt of Services
You acknowledge and accept that travel may involve the risk of financial loss without receipt of services, in whole or in part, including when a Trip is canceled, modified, delayed, interrupted, postponed, impaired, or rendered impractical, unsafe, commercially unreasonable, or impossible due to events beyond the control of Sisterhood Travels.
6.4 Traveler Assumption of Risk
By booking a Trip, you voluntarily assume these travel and financial risks and agree that travel insurance is your primary means of protecting your travel investment.
7. OCCUPANCY, ROOMMATES AND MATCHING
7.1 Occupancy Options
Trips may offer single occupancy and double occupancy accommodations.
7.2 Double Occupancy
If you book double occupancy, you will share accommodations with another Sisterhood Travels traveler.
7.3 Roommate Matching
For travelers booking double occupancy without a chosen roommate, Sisterhood Travels may offer roommate matching in its sole discretion.
7.4 No Compatibility Warranty
Sisterhood Travels makes no representation or warranty regarding roommate compatibility, habits, safety, suitability, interests, snoring, lifestyle, or preferences. Sisterhood Travels cannot guarantee compatible roommates and cannot guarantee alternative accommodations if incompatibility arises.
7.5 Smoking Preferences
Sisterhood Travels may attempt to match travelers based on smoking preferences. However, Sisterhood Travels cannot guarantee that a non-smoker will not be matched with a smoker if a traveler fails to disclose her smoking status. If a traveler is dishonest about smoking status, Sisterhood Travels may require that traveler to leave the Trip accommodations. That traveler shall be solely responsible for all resulting accommodation costs, fees, and charges.
7.6 Chosen Roommate Becomes Unavailable
If you initially book with a chosen roommate, or later request to room with a specific traveler, and that roommate later cancels or becomes unavailable, Sisterhood Travels is not required to provide a replacement roommate.
7.7 Time Limit for Replacement Roommate
If a replacement roommate is not found by two (2) weeks after the Final Payment Date, the remaining traveler may be required either to upgrade to single occupancy, if available, at her expense; or to cancel the reservation under the roommate provisions below.
7.8 No Guarantee of Match
Sisterhood Travels does not guarantee the availability of a roommate for every traveler requesting roommate matching.
7.9 If No Match and Single Occupancy Is Available
If no roommate is found and single occupancy is available, you may upgrade to single occupancy by paying the additional amount due. Such amount must be paid within twenty-four (24) hours of electing the upgrade.
7.10 If No Match and No Single Occupancy Is Available
If no roommate is found and no single occupancy accommodation is available, you may be required to cancel your Trip. In that event, you will be eligible for a refund of monies paid to Sisterhood Travels for the Trip, excluding Airfare Assistance Fees and similar separate service fees. Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you, including airfare.
7.11 Roommate Cancellations (Travelers Who Book Together)
If two travelers book together as roommates and one traveler cancels for any reason, the remaining traveler is responsible for the full cost of the accommodations.
Sisterhood Travels is not obligated to provide a replacement roommate in this circumstance. The remaining traveler may be required to upgrade to single occupancy, if available, and pay any applicable single supplement; or accept any alternative arrangements offered by Sisterhood Travels, if available.
In certain situations, including but not limited to non-chartered cruises or supplier-controlled accommodations, a single supplement may be mandatory and imposed by the supplier. The remaining traveler agrees to be responsible for such additional costs.
Standard cancellation terms will apply to the canceling traveler.
8. ACCOMMODATIONS, ITINERARY, MEALS, AND SUBSTITUTIONS
8.1 Accommodations Subject to Change
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to change accommodations at any time when reasonably necessary and in its sole discretion.
8.2 Types of Accommodations
Accommodations may include hotels, condos, cruise ship cabins or quarters, motels, safari lodges or tents, campgrounds, resorts, or similar lodging.
8.3 Local Standards
Accommodation ratings and standards vary by destination. Descriptions and photographs may not perfectly represent the accommodations actually provided. Sisterhood Travels does not guarantee any specific comfort level, star category, amenity, cleanliness, or hotel experience.
8.4 Accommodation Policies
You must comply with all accommodation rules and policies, including checkout times, smoking restrictions, visitor policies, and noise limits. If you are asked to leave accommodations because of your conduct, you are solely responsible for alternative accommodations and all related costs, fees, fines, or penalties.
8.5 Itinerary Subject to Change
Trip itineraries may be changed at any time due to weather, safety concerns, tourism laws, supplier availability, local conditions, force majeure, operational concerns, traveler well-being, or group needs.
8.6 Comparable Substitutions
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to substitute hotels, activities, transportation, meals, guides, or other services with comparable alternatives of equal or greater value when reasonably necessary.
8.7 No Refund for Changes
Reasonable itinerary changes, substitutions, delays, omissions, or modifications do not entitle you to a refund, partial refund, credit, or compensation.
8.8 Meals
Only meals specifically identified as included are included. Meals not included are your responsibility. You must communicate dietary restrictions at the time of booking and reconfirm prior to departure via the communication sent by the Company. Sisterhood Travels does not guarantee the availability of meals suitable for all allergies, restrictions, or sensitivities.
8.9 Operational Changes
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to make reasonable operational changes to any Trip when necessary for safety, operational efficiency, supplier availability, weather conditions, local circumstances, or the overall experience of the group.
Such changes may include, but are not limited to substituting accommodations, changing transportation providers, modifying the order of the itinerary, substituting guides, instructors, or group leaders, replacing activity providers, or adjusting activity and/or mealtimes or locations.
These operational adjustments are a normal part of travel planning and do not constitute a material change to the Trip. Accordingly, such changes shall not entitle travelers to refunds, credits, or compensation.
In the event of a material error affecting a traveler’s reservation, Sisterhood Travels will notify the traveler as soon as reasonably possible and may offer the option to:
8.10 Trip Descriptions
Trip descriptions, photographs, and promotional materials are intended to provide a general overview of the experience and may not represent exact conditions, accommodations, or services provided during the Trip.
9. CODE OF CONDUCT; RIGHT TO REFUSE, CANCEL, OR REMOVE TRAVELERS
9.1 Code of Conduct Required
All travelers must comply with the Sisterhood Travels Code of Conduct, Trip instructions, local laws, and directives of Sisterhood Travels staff, leaders, guides, and representatives.
9.2 Right to Refuse Participation Before Departure
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, deny, or cancel a traveler’s participation before the Trip begins if the traveler’s conduct, communications, or behavior are abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, dishonest, unsafe, disruptive, or otherwise incompatible with the Trip, the Company, Company personnel, suppliers, or other travelers. If a client is removed from a trip prior to departure, they will not be eligible to travel with Sisterhood Travels on any future trips.
9.3 Examples of Grounds for Refusal or Cancellation Before Departure
Grounds include, without limitation abusive or threatening communications toward staff; harassment; intimidation; discriminatory conduct; repeated hostility; refusal to follow policies; dishonesty; bad-faith conduct; behavior creating safety, legal, operational, or reputational concerns; or conduct indicating the traveler is not a good fit for the Trip environment.
9.4 Right to Remove During Travel
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove a traveler from a Trip, in whole or in part, after departure if the traveler’s behavior is disruptive, threatening, unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or detrimental to the group experience. If a client is removed during a trip, they will not be eligible to travel with Sisterhood Travels on any future trips.
9.5 Group Harmony
Group travel requires cooperation, mutual respect, flexibility, and consideration for others. A traveler may be removed if her behavior negatively affects group harmony, morale, comfort, safety, pace, or overall experience, even if the conduct is not illegal.
9.6 No Refund for Behavioral Cancellation or Removal
If Sisterhood Travels cancels your participation before departure or removes you during travel for behavioral reasons, Code of Conduct violations, group harmony concerns, safety reasons, or similar causes, no refund, credit, or compensation will be owed.
9.7 Traveler Responsible for Costs of Removal
A removed traveler is solely responsible for all costs associated with early departure, alternate lodging, meals, transportation, airfare changes, and any related expenses.
9.8 Authority of Tour Leadership
The Tour Manager or Tour Director and the Sisterhood Travels Group Leader(s) are responsible for the overall management, safety, and coordination of the Trip. Travelers agree to follow the reasonable instructions and decisions of the Tour Manager or Tour Director and the Sisterhood Travels Group Leader(s) at all times during the Trip.
These representatives have the authority to make decisions regarding itinerary timing and logistics; safety procedures; activity participation; group movement and coordination; compliance with local laws and supplier rules; and, traveler conduct and group harmony. Failure to comply with the reasonable instructions or decisions of the Tour Manager, Tour Director, or Sisterhood Travels Group Leader(s) may result in denial of participation in certain activities or removal from the Trip.
If a traveler is removed from a Trip for failure to comply with the authority of Trip leadership, no refund, credit, or compensation will be provided, and the traveler will be responsible for all expenses associated with early departure.
9.9 No Solicitation or Commercial Activity
Sisterhood Travels trips, events, private groups, communication platforms, and traveler communities are intended for personal travel, connection, and group participation. Travelers may not use any Sisterhood Travels trip, event, group, communication platform, traveler list, or community space to advertise, market, promote, solicit, sell, recruit, fundraise, distribute materials, or conduct commercial activity without prior written permission from Sisterhood Travels.
This includes, but is not limited to, promoting or selling books, products, services, memberships, retreats, trips, travel services, coaching programs, business opportunities, nonprofit fundraising, political campaigns, religious organizations, multi-level marketing opportunities, or any other personal, professional, charitable, or commercial venture.
Travelers may not collect or use other travelers’ contact information for any sales, marketing, recruiting, fundraising, or promotional purpose without the traveler’s express consent and prior written permission from Sisterhood Travels.
Violation of this provision may be treated as a Code of Conduct violation and may result in denial of participation, removal from a trip, refusal of future bookings, and/or other remedies available under these Terms (9.6 No Refund for Behavioral Cancellation or Removal).
10. HEALTH, FITNESS, DISABILITIES, AND PARTICIPATION
10.1 Traveler Responsibility
You are responsible for determining whether a Trip is suitable for your personal health, fitness, mobility, mental well-being, and travel capabilities.
10.2 Representation of Fitness
By booking and participating, you represent that you are qualified, in sufficient health, and in proper physical condition to participate in the Trip and any activities you elect to join.
10.3 No Refund for Inability to Participate
If you are unable to participate in any portion of the Trip due to physical condition, health limitations, mobility restrictions, fatigue, fear, altitude, weather sensitivity, or other personal reasons, no refund or credit shall be due.
10.4 Disclosure of Needs
You must notify Sisterhood Travels before or at the time of booking of any disability, medical issue, mobility limitation, or accommodation need that may affect your participation.
10.5 No Guarantee of Accommodation
Sisterhood Travels does not guarantee that all suppliers, accommodations, destinations, or activities can accommodate special needs or disabilities.
10.6 Travel Companion Requirement
If more than minor assistance is needed, Sisterhood Travels or a supplier may require you to be accompanied by a travel companion capable of providing such assistance.
10.7 Right to Limit Participation
Sisterhood Travels may limit or deny participation in any activity or remove a traveler from all or part of a Trip, if participation would be unsafe or unreasonably disruptive.
10.8 Compliance With Health Directives
You must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and directives relating to health and safety, including those imposed by governments, airlines, transportation providers, suppliers, or Sisterhood Travels leaders and representatives.
10.9 Traveler Responsibility for Fitness and Ability to Participate
Travelers are responsible for determining whether a Trip is suitable for their personal physical abilities, health condition, mobility level, and overall travel capabilities. By booking and participating in a Trip, each traveler represents that she is physically, mentally, and medically capable of safely participating in the Trip itinerary and activities.
Group travel itineraries may involve extended walking, uneven terrain, stairs or limited accessibility, altitude changes, varying weather conditions, physical activities, and transportation schedules that require punctuality and mobility. Travelers should be capable of independently managing their luggage, navigating airports, and moving with the group at a reasonable pace.
Sisterhood Travels and its suppliers are not responsible for providing personal care assistance, medical care, mobility assistance, or supervision during the Trip. Sisterhood Travels trips are generally not suitable for travelers who require wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, rollators, or similar mobility assistance devices. All travelers must be able to ambulate independently with no assistance from devices or others on the trip. It is the traveler’s responsibility to fully read the activity level description provided for each trip.
If, in the reasonable judgment of Sisterhood Travels, the Tour Manager/Director, or the Sisterhood Travels Group Leader(s), a traveler’s physical condition, health status, or mobility limitations prevent safe participation or materially disrupt the Trip, the traveler may be denied participation in certain activities or required to leave the Trip.
If a traveler is unable to continue participating in the Trip for these reasons, no refund, credit, or compensation will be provided, and the traveler will be responsible for all costs associated with early departure or alternate arrangements.
11. AIRFARE AND TRANSPORTATION
11.1 Self-Booked Airfare
If you book your own flights, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your itinerary aligns with Trip requirements, including required arrival and departure windows.
11.2 Required Air Itinerary Information
If you book your own flights, you must provide your flight itinerary and airline confirmation number to Sisterhood Travels by the stated date required by the company, or such other date specified in the Trip materials. Failure to provide this information may result in loss of transfer services.
11.3 Consequences of Inadequate Flight Planning
If you fail to provide your flight information on time, book flights that do not align with the Trip itinerary, miss your flight, or your flight is delayed, canceled, or changed for any reason, you are responsible for obtaining your own transportation to join the Trip and for all resulting costs.
11.4 No Refund for Air Disruptions
No refund or credit will be due for any Trip portion missed because of airfare or transportation issues.
11.5 Airfare Booking Assistance
If requested, Sisterhood Travels may provide limited airfare booking assistance for a separate fee (“Airline Ticketing Fee”).
11.6 Traveler Responsibilities Even With Assistance
Even if Sisterhood Travels assists with airfare, you remain solely responsible for arriving at the airport on time, any baggage fees or surcharges, in-flight purchases, verifying that your legal name on the airline ticket matches your passport, and notifying Sisterhood Travels of ticket name corrections within twelve (12) hours of purchase confirmation.
11.7 No Airline Warranty
Sisterhood Travels cannot guarantee that reserved flights will not be changed, delayed, or canceled, nor that flight reservations will not be affected by Trip itinerary changes.
11.8 No Liability for Airfare Assistance Limits
Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for additional costs, missed portions of the itinerary, private transportation costs, or flight change fees caused by flight changes, delays, or cancellations. Sisterhood Travels is also not responsible for notification failures if you change the airline reservation notification settings established at the time of booking.
11.9 Airfare Purchased Before Trip Confirmation
Travelers are responsible for the timing and terms of their airfare purchases. Sisterhood Travels strongly recommends that travelers do not purchase non-refundable airfare or other non-refundable travel arrangements until the Trip has been confirmed by Sisterhood Travels as guaranteed to operate.
If a traveler elects to purchase airfare or other travel arrangements before receiving confirmation that the Trip is guaranteed to operate, the traveler does so at their own risk. Sisterhood Travels shall not be responsible for any losses, change fees, cancellation penalties, or other costs associated with airfare or other travel arrangements purchased before a Trip is confirmed, including in situations where a Trip is postponed, rescheduled, modified, or canceled.
Travel insurance may provide coverage for such losses.
12. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS AND INTERMEDIARY STATUS
12.1 Intermediary Role
Sisterhood Travels acts solely as an intermediary between travelers and third-party suppliers.
12.2 Independent Suppliers
Hotels and accommodations, airlines including those used for group flights, cruise lines, transport companies, guides, activity operators, insurers, and other suppliers are independent contractors and are not owned, managed, or controlled by Sisterhood Travels.
12.3 No Supplier Warranty
Sisterhood Travels makes no representation or warranty regarding supplier performance, solvency, safety, suitability, quality, fitness, or condition.
12.4 Supplier Failure and Insolvency
Sisterhood Travels shall not be liable for supplier bankruptcy, insolvency, cessation of business, failure to deliver services, or refusal to refund monies.
12.5 Refunds Limited to Amounts Recovered
You acknowledge that traveler payments may be used to secure travel services and may be forwarded to suppliers. In any circumstance involving supplier nonperformance, force majeure, cancellation, postponement, interruption, or similar disruption, any refund from Sisterhood Travels shall be limited to amounts, if any, actually recovered by Sisterhood Travels from suppliers. Travelers acknowledge that some supplier payments may be non-refundable to Sisterhood Travels.
12.6 No Refund for Unsatisfactory Supplier Services
You are not entitled to a refund because you are dissatisfied with services or products provided by a supplier.
12.7 Release for Acts of Third-Party Suppliers
Sisterhood Travels arranges travel services that are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, transportation providers, tour operators, activity providers, guides, and excursion companies. These suppliers are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or representatives of Sisterhood Travels, and Sisterhood Travels does not own, manage, operate, supervise, or control their services. Accordingly, Sisterhood Travels acts solely as an intermediary or travel arranger for these services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sisterhood Travels shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or other harm caused by the acts, omissions, negligence, or default of any third-party supplier. By participating in a Trip, travelers agree to release and hold harmless Sisterhood Travels from claims arising from the acts or omissions of such independent suppliers.
13. FORCE MAJEURE, TRIP CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT, RESCHEDULING, AND TRAVEL CREDITS
13.1 Definition of Force Majeure
“Force Majeure” means any event beyond the reasonable control of Sisterhood Travels, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, including but not limited to war, threat of war, armed conflict, terrorism, threats of terrorism, political instability, civil unrest, riots, insurrection, rebellion, strikes, labor disputes, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, disease outbreaks, border closures, government actions, travel bans, sanctions, lockdowns, transportation shutdowns, infrastructure failures, supplier default, cyberattacks, utility interruptions, acts of God, or any similar event making Trip operation unsafe, impractical, unlawful, or commercially unreasonable.
13.2 Company Discretion
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, postpone, modify, shorten, reroute, interrupt, reschedule, or otherwise alter any Trip due to Force Majeure or other circumstances beyond its control.
13.3 No Company Liability for Force Majeure Losses
Sisterhood Travels shall not be liable for any loss, delay, injury, damage, expense, inconvenience, missed experience, missed service, or financial loss arising out of or related to a Force Majeure event.
13.4 Postponement and Rescheduling Rights
If Sisterhood Travels postpones or reschedules a Trip, Sisterhood Travels may, in its sole discretion, offer one or more of the following: transfer to the rescheduled departure; transfer to another available Trip; future travel credit; or partial refund only to the extent funds are recovered and Sisterhood Travels elects to issue one. The issuance of any future travel credit shall be at the sole discretion of Sisterhood Travels.
13.5 No Cash Refund Obligation for Events Beyond Company Control
Where a Trip is postponed, rescheduled, interrupted, impaired, modified, or canceled due to Force Majeure or any circumstance outside the Company’s control, cash refunds shall not be required or guaranteed, except where required by applicable law.
13.6 Reservation Deposit in Force Majeure Circumstances
If a Trip is canceled due to a Force Majeure event, the Reservation Deposit remains non-refundable.
13.7 Future Travel Credits
Any travel credit issued has no cash value, is non-transferable unless Sisterhood Travels expressly agrees otherwise in writing, must be used within the validity period set by Sisterhood Travels, and is subject to the terms communicated at the time of issuance.
13.8 If Traveler Cannot Attend Rescheduled Dates
If you cannot attend a rescheduled Trip, Sisterhood Travels may, in its sole discretion, allow the value of your booking to be used as a future travel credit rather than issuing a cash refund.
13.9 Traveler Decisions Based on Advisories or News
Government advisories, news reports, social media reports, perceived danger, market concerns, or generalized anxiety about world events do not automatically require Sisterhood Travels to cancel a Trip or issue a refund, so long as Sisterhood Travels determines the Trip can operate safely and reasonably.
13.10 Force Majeure During Trip
If a Force Majeure event occurs on or after the Trip start date, or while the Trip is in progress, and results in interruption, delay, modification, curtailment, or termination of the Trip, no refund, credit, or compensation shall be due from Sisterhood Travels for any unused portion of the Trip, except where required by applicable law. In such circumstances Sisterhood Travels may modify the itinerary, reroute the Trip, shorten the Trip, postpone activities, or terminate the Trip for safety or operational reasons. Travelers may be required to make alternative travel arrangements to return home or continue their journey. Any additional costs resulting from such disruption, including but not limited to transportation, lodging, meals, evacuation expenses, airfare changes, return travel arrangements, and any other incidental expenses, shall be the sole responsibility of the traveler, unless covered by the traveler’s travel insurance.
13.11 Traveler Responsibility for Independent Travel Arrangements
Travelers are solely responsible for all travel arrangements made independently of Sisterhood Travels, including but not limited to airfare, pre-trip or post-trip hotel accommodations, ground transportation, private transfers, rental cars, train or cruise connections, visas or entry documentation, vaccinations or medical preparations, travel gear or equipment purchases, or any other travel-related expenses not expressly included in the Trip price.
In the event a Trip is canceled, postponed, modified, interrupted, rescheduled, delayed, or otherwise affected for any reason, including but not limited to Force Majeure events, supplier issues, operational requirements, or safety concerns, Sisterhood Travels shall not be responsible for reimbursing travelers for any independent travel arrangements or related expenses. Travelers acknowledge that such expenses may be non-refundable and agree that travel insurance is the primary means of protecting against these potential financial losses.
13.12 Minimum Participant Requirement
Some Trips require a minimum number of participants in order to operate. The minimum number of participants required for each Trip is determined solely by Sisterhood Travels. Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to cancel a Trip if the minimum number of participants has not been reached by a date determined by the Company.
If a Trip is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, Sisterhood Travels may, at its sole discretion offer travelers the opportunity to transfer to another Trip, offer a future travel credit, or issue a refund of amounts paid to Sisterhood Travels for the Trip. Sisterhood Travels shall not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by travelers in connection with the canceled Trip, including but not limited to airfare, accommodations, transportation, visas, travel insurance, or other travel-related costs.
13.13 Maximum Participants on a Trip
Sisterhood Travels reserves the right to increase the maximum number of participants on a trip based on demand and availability.
13.14 Waitlist
Sisterhood Travels offers a waitlist program for most trips. The Company reserves the right to limit waitlist participants based on size and availability of the Trip.
14. TALENT RELEASE
14.1 Use of Images and Recordings
You grant Sisterhood Travels the right to use photographs, videos, audio recordings, and likenesses taken during the Trip for lawful marketing, promotional, educational, and business purposes, without compensation.
14.2 No Right to Inspect or Approve
You waive any right to inspect or approve such materials and acknowledge that you are not entitled to profits, revenue, or compensation related to their use.
14.3 Opt-Out
If you do not wish to be included in such materials, you must notify Sisterhood Travels in writing before the Trip.
15. THEFT AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
15.1 Personal Property Risk
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your money, valuables, luggage, travel documents, electronics, and other personal property.
15.2 No Liability for Theft or Loss
Sisterhood Travels is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to your personal property.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
16.1 Maximum Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maximum liability of Sisterhood Travels arising out of or related to any Trip, booking, service, or these Terms shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the traveler to Sisterhood Travels for the specific Trip giving rise to the claim.
16.2 Excluded Damages
Sisterhood Travels shall not be liable for any indirect damages, special damages, incidental damages, consequential damages, exemplary damages, punitive damages, emotional distress, loss of enjoyment, lost wages, opportunity costs, or additional travel costs.
17. RELEASE, WAIVER, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY
17.1 Voluntary Participation
You acknowledge that your participation in the Trip is voluntary.
17.2 Review of Trip Information
You acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing and understanding all Trip information, including the itinerary, Code of Conduct, these Terms, and all other Trip materials provided by Sisterhood Travels.
17.3 Assumption of Physical and Activity Risk
You acknowledge that Trips may involve activities such as yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, zip-lining, paddle boarding, surfing, swimming, sailing, horseback riding, rafting, cycling, fishing, snowshoeing, camping, helicopter tours, ATV tours, snowmobiling, hot air ballooning, dogsledding, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, boating, city tours, biking, cooking, walking, and similar physical or adventure activities, and that participation involves inherent risk of injury, illness, death, or property damage.
17.4 Exposure Risks
You acknowledge possible exposure to remote areas, hazardous or extreme weather conditions, animals, insects, native or exotic plants, communicable, transmissible, or infectious diseases, bacteria, allergens, and environmental hazards.
17.5 Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge Sisterhood Travels and its owners, officers, directors, shareholders, members, managers, employees, former employees, attorneys, agents, contractors, representatives, and affiliates from claims arising out of or related to your participation in the Trip, including claims based on negligence, breach of contract, and products liability, except where prohibited by law.
17.6 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sisterhood Travels from claims by third parties arising from your acts, omissions, conduct, or violation of these Terms. This includes claims involving personal injury, illness, death, or property damage.
17.7 Emergency Medical Consent
In an emergency, Sisterhood Travels may seek medical treatment on your behalf if reasonably necessary. All resulting costs are your sole responsibility.
17.8 Emergency Contact
You certify that your designated emergency contact has been informed, is available during the Trip, and that the information you provided is accurate and complete. Sisterhood Travels is not responsible if your emergency contact is unavailable or cannot be reached.
17.9 Acknowledgment of Travel Insurance Recommendation
You acknowledge that Sisterhood Travels has strongly advised you to purchase travel insurance and to review any relevant travel information or warnings issued by appropriate governmental agencies.
18. DISPUTE RESOLUTION, ARBITRATION, AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER
18.1 Binding Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, your Trip, or any service provided by Sisterhood Travels shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration. The arbitration shall take place in Johnston County, North Carolina, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
18.2 Administration
The arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association or another mutually agreed arbitration provider under applicable consumer arbitration rules.
18.3 Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
18.4 Class Action Waiver
All claims must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff, claimant, or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
19. GOVERNING LAW, VENUE, AND SEVERABILITY
19.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
19.2 Venue
To the extent a dispute is not subject to arbitration or may properly be brought in court, venue shall lie exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Johnston County, North Carolina, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
19.3 Binding Effect
These Terms are binding upon and inure to the benefit of the traveler and Sisterhood Travels and their respective heirs, personal representatives, beneficiaries, successors, and assigns.
19.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19.5 No Waiver
The failure of Sisterhood Travels to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions at any time shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or of the right to enforce it in the future. Any exception, accommodation, or discretionary decision made by Sisterhood Travels in one circumstance shall not create an obligation for the Company to make similar exceptions in other situations.
