Then we’re off to Glasgow, where we’ll explore key Outlander filming locations, including the striking Glasgow Cathedral, which doubled as L’Hôpital des Anges in Season 2. You’ll step into the 1700s for an immersive 18th-century-themed banquet, surrounded by costumed Jacobite Highlanders and local villagers who bring the setting to life.
We’re thrilled to be joined tonight by Gary Lewis, the talented actor who portrayed Colum MacKenzie in Outlander. With Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie) having joined us earlier in the tour, you’ll now have met both of the formidable MacKenzie brothers which is an incredible and rare opportunity for fans of the series! Today, we begin our return to Edinburgh, but not before a memorable stop in the enchanting village of Falkland, the filming location that stood in for 1940s Inverness in Season 1 of Outlander. Here, you’ll instantly recognize the familiar square where Jamie’s ghost watched Claire through the window. We’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Covenantor Inn, better known to fans as Mrs. Baird’s B&B, where Claire and Frank spent their honeymoon before time travel changed everything.
After soaking in the nostalgia and snapping a few must-have photos, we’ll continue on to Edinburgh, where we’ll check in at our 5-star luxury hotel with breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle. We’ll be welcomed by the stirring sound of a traditional bagpiper, then treated to a live performance by Gillebrìde MacMillan, who fans know and love as Gwyllyn the Bard from Season 1.
