Let’s slow down and listen. Today, you’ll spend time with the Maasai people, immersing yourself in their stories, healing traditions, and daily life. Learn how plants are used as medicine. Walk the land. Throw a spear. Dance by the fire. You’ll also have the chance to shop handcrafted treasures at the Arusha Maasai Market, supporting local mamas and women artisans.

We head into elephant territory in Tarangire National Park, where ancient Baobab trees tower above herds of 300+ elephants. You’ll embark on daily game drives, a guided walking safari, and a night drive that reveals Africa’s nocturnal mysteries. Our private guides will help you spot leopards, lions, hyenas, and a kaleidoscope of birdlife. Evenings are spent around the fire, swapping stories under the stars.

September 15–19 – The Great Migration: Serengeti Safari Magic

We fly into the legendary Northern Serengeti, where (with luck and timing) we’ll witness the Wildebeest Migration crossing the Mara River, a raw, thrilling, and emotional spectacle of survival. This part of the journey is completely dictated by nature. There’s no script. Only spontaneity. And every day, the bush surprises us. We’ll explore this iconic landscape with expert guides, always mindful of our impact, practicing ethical and respectful wildlife viewing.

September 19 – To Uganda: Rest & Recalibrate

This morning, we fly from the Serengeti to Entebbe, Uganda. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at our chic boutique hotel with pool or spa time with your Sisters.

September 20–24 – Into the Jungle: Bwindi Gorilla Treks

And now, the jungle calls. We take a short flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas.

Settle into our luxury eco-lodge, perched at the forest’s edge. You’ll enjoy fireside chats with conservationists and the Gorilla Doctors, and then, on two separate days, venture into the forest with expert trackers to spend time in the presence of these magnificent creatures.

It’s intense. Emotional. Soul-stirring. And no photo will ever truly capture what your heart will remember. Between treks, enjoy spa treatments, forest walks, a tea tour, and time to reflect with your Sisters.

Kwaheri ya kuonana – goodbye, until we meet again.

Three Parks.
One Unforgettable Journey.

tarangire national park

Tarangire National Park

Where Elephants Roam and Baobabs Whisper Ancient Stories

Tarangire is not just a national park – it’s a sacred storybook of Africa’s wild soul. The landscape here feels timeless: towering baobab trees stand like sentinels, their gnarled limbs stretched toward the endless sky, while golden grasses ripple in the dry-season breeze.

But the real magic? The elephants.

In the dry months, hundreds of elephants, sometimes entire herds of 300 or more, gather along the life-giving Tarangire River. You might find yourself close enough to hear the low rumble of a matriarch communicating with her calf, or the splash of thick legs trudging through mud as they bathe and play. The energy is palpable—ancient, primal, and heart-shaking.

Here, you’ll rise with the sun for morning game drives and walk alongside rangers to explore the intricate ecosystem that sustains the park’s incredible wildlife. At night, you’ll venture into the darkness on a night safari, guided only by starlight and instinct, searching for the flicker of an owl’s eye or the silhouette of a lion on the prowl.

Tarangire invites you to feel small in the most beautiful way: humbled, grounded, alive.

northern serengeti

Northern Serengeti

The Great Migration. The Wild Heart of Africa.

If Africa had a heartbeat, it would echo across the open plains of the Northern Serengeti, a land so breathtaking, so wildly alive, it feels like it exists outside of time.

This is where the Great Migration reaches its crescendo. On these golden savannas, you may witness one of Earth’s greatest dramas: thousands of wildebeest and zebras plunging across the crocodile-infested Mara River in a desperate race for survival. The air thrums with tension. Dust rises. The cries of the herd mix with the thunder of hooves and the splash of water And in that moment, you are a witness to raw nature in its purest form.

But there is stillness here, too. Picture giraffes silhouetted against a lavender sky. A cheetah poised silently in the grass. Or a leopard draped across a sun-warmed kopje, tail flicking lazily, eyes ever watchful. These granite outcrops are as iconic as the animals themselves, natural sculptures rising from the earth, offering refuge and perspective.

Every hour in the Serengeti is a gift. From sunrise game drives to sunset sundowners, this is a place that awakens something wild and ancient inside you. The rhythm of life here moves you, transforms you, and stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

bwindi impenetrable forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Face to Face With the Gentle Giants of the Jungle

In the shadowy depths of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where morning mist clings to vines and the air hums with life, the world narrows to the rhythm of your footsteps, your breath, your heart.

This is no ordinary walk in the woods. This is a pilgrimage into one of the most biologically rich ecosystems on the planet, home to over 120 mammal species, 350 birds, and the rarest of them all: the critically endangered mountain gorilla.

You’ll venture into the forest on two unforgettable treks, accompanied by skilled rangers and trackers who follow subtle signs: broken branches, a fresh nest, a distant sound, until suddenly you’re close. You’ll pause. Mask on. Heart pounding.

And then… you see them.

A mother cradling her infant. A silverback meeting your gaze, calm and deep. Young ones tumbling through the undergrowth. For one sacred hour, you’ll share space with these majestic beings, so human in their expression, so gentle in their presence, and everything else will fall away.

No screen, no photograph, no journal entry will ever fully capture what that hour feels like. It’s raw, emotional, and unforgettably intimate.

Back at your lodge, you’ll reflect on the experience with a glass of wine and a complimentary massage. Maybe you’ll spot a monkey on your terrace or listen to the distant calls of the forest. But you’ll carry the gorillas with you – in your memory, in your bones, in your spirit.

Because Bwindi doesn’t just show you the wild.
It shows you yourself.

Activity Level 4

Activity Level:

Busy

This once-in-a-lifetime journey through Tanzania and Uganda is designed for women who are comfortable with moderate to active physical activity, including walking on uneven terrain, participating in full days of immersive wildlife experiences, and trekking through mountainous rainforest. From thrilling game drives across the Serengeti to guided gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, this itinerary offers deep connection with nature, wildlife, and Sisterhood.

Walking & Standing

Expect moderate to strenuous walking on multiple days of the trip. Daily game drives involve standing and entering/exiting safari vehicles several times per day. You’ll enjoy guided walks with park rangers in Tarangire National Park and participate in two mountain gorilla treks in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. These treks may last 2 to 6 hours each, depending on gorilla movement, and take place on steep, muddy, or uneven jungle terrain. You’ll need to be steady on your feet, comfortable hiking inclines, and able to manage longer durations of standing and walking with breaks as needed.

Terrain, Transport & Accommodations

You’ll encounter a wide variety of natural terrain throughout this journey, from flat savannahs and rocky hillsides to rainforest trails and jungle undergrowth. Game drives take place in open-sided or pop-top 4×4 vehicles, with occasional bumpy rides across unpaved roads. Domestic flights are included for efficient transfers between regions. Lodges and camps are hand-selected for their comfort, sustainability, and authenticity. Tented camps may involve walking along dirt paths and using stairs or steps to access your accommodations. All properties offer private en-suite bathrooms and attentive service, with laundry available at key stops.

Wildlife Encounters & Required Participation

This journey centers around immersive wildlife experiences including daily safari game drives, guided nature walks, and gorilla trekking. Activities are not technically difficult, but they do require stamina, flexibility, and a willingness to fully participate in shared, often emotional encounters with nature and local communities. Visits with the Maasai people, conservation talks, and cultural moments are core to the itinerary.

Pacing & Free Time

This itinerary is full and exhilarating, with most days beginning early to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities. Days in the Serengeti and Tarangire involve early mornings, afternoon breaks, and evening game drives. Gorilla trekking days begin with pre-hike briefings and conclude with relaxed afternoons at the lodge. While the trip is active, it’s also paced to allow for journaling, massage, rest, and quiet connection with your Sisters. You’ll have time to reflect, refresh, and soak in the wild beauty of Africa. Participation requires an adventurous spirit, an open heart, and the physical ability to embrace each unforgettable day.

Altitude Considerations

This journey includes travel through regions of varying elevation. Most of the Tanzanian portion of the trip, including Tarangire and the Serengeti, sits between 3,000 and 5,000 feet above sea level and is generally not considered high altitude. However, once in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you will be trekking at elevations ranging from 3,800 to 8,500 feet.

Some participants may notice mild altitude effects such as shortness of breath or fatigue, especially during the gorilla treks, which involve hiking at higher elevations through humid, rugged terrain. Staying well-hydrated, pacing yourself, and allowing time to acclimate will help reduce discomfort. Guides are trained to support you throughout the trek, and porters are available to assist as needed. If you have a known sensitivity to altitude or any related health concerns, we recommend speaking with your physician before booking.
