Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam! After passing through immigration and customs, your driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall and will transport you to our hotel. This evening, join your Group Leader and new Sisters for an informal meet and greet. (No meals are included today)

Today is yours to rest, relax and rejuvenate, or to independently explore with your Sisters. Known for its French colonial architecture, tree-lined streets, and vibrant street food scene, Hanoi is Vietnam’s dynamic capital and second-most populous city. (Breakfast included today)

We’ll start our morning with a city tour of Hanoi and the Old Quarter. Well visit Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature. Together, we’ll follow the meandering streets, decorated with temples and pagodas, and feast on the history. After working up an appetite, we’ll enjoy a walking food tour, featuring some of Vietnam’s most famous dishes such as banh mi and pho.  We’ll enjoy coffee and views of Hoan Kiem Lake at a rooftop café. This evening, we’ll enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Today, you might enjoy starting your day early with our Tour Director and locals as they practice tai chi at a local park. After, we’ll visit the infamous Hoa Lo Prison. This historic site, dubbed the “Hanoi Hilton” by American POWs, is now a museum that tells the story of colonial history from the Vietnamese perspective. Following our visit, we’ll sit down with a local veteran from the Vietnam War to chat and connect with him as he recounts his history. The rest of the day is yours at leisure with your Sisters. This evening, you’ll be captivated by a traditional puppet show, with its incredible display of artistry and folklore. After, we’ll enjoy dinner at a local Hanoi restaurant. Today, we’ll journey to Ha Long Bay and board a charming junk boat for an overnight cruise, the perfect vantage point for soaking up the landscape. Once on board, enjoy fresh seafood as we sail past vistas of low green mountains, small villages, hundreds of islands, and limestone peaks jutting out from the sea. You’ll have the opportunity to disembark to discover the wonders of nature, history, and archaeology. Back on board, sit back and relax as the sounds and peaceful sway of the boat lull you to sleep. Our day begins with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck at sunrise. After a light breakfast, we’ll head off to visit Sung Sot cave, one of the many limestone grottos accessible by boat in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage that is Ha Long Bay. Later, it’s time to say farewell to this stunning wonder and cruise back to the mainland. After, we’ll board our group flight to Da Nang and travel to Hoi An, an ancient trading port. (Breakfast included)

We’ll start our day with a walking tour of the old town, stroll by the ornate Chinese-style temple Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the famous 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge and the vibrant market on the banks of the Thu Bon. We’ll finish with an introduction to the local tailoring culture in Hoi An, a tradition dating back to the days of the silk route. You’ll see the process of making cotton and silk cloth and may even choose to have some tailor-made clothes made. Enjoy a free afternoon with your Sisters to walk along the canals that cut through Ancient Town before joining together for an authentic local dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Today, we’ll explore the flavors of Hoi An. First, we’ll board a basket boat and journey along the Co Co River for an immersive cooking class. You’ll learn how to catch seafood in the river and grind rice into flour. We’ll use our ingredients to cook four classic local dishes which we’ll enjoy for lunch. The rest of the day and evening is yours with your Sisters to soak up the local atmosphere. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

This morning, we’ll board our group flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the energetic urban capital formerly known as Saigon. On an eye-opening city tour, we’ll see the Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral (from the outside), and the Reunification Palace. Next, we’ll head over to explore treasures from local vendors on display at the Old Market in District 1. (Breakfast included)

This morning, we’ll take to the waters of the famous Mekong Delta. As we sail along, our guide will delve into the history and culture of the region. We’ll discover the region’s cottage industry with a visit to a coconut candy factory and learn how this confection is made. We’ll enjoy lunch together featuring southern Vietnamese cuisine before traveling back to Ho Chi Minh City for an evening of leisure with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

After breakfast, we’ll spend our morning at the Cu Chi Tunnels, a maze of underground passageways used as hideouts by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. This afternoon, we’ll board our group flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia’s gateway to the wonders of Angkor. In this ancient city, we’ll discover a world where colonial and Chinese architecture melds into a sophisticated urban and culinary scene. This evening, we’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant accompanied by a traditional Khmer dance performance. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

This morning, we’ll depart for a sunrise at Angkor Wat, a perfect example of classic Khmer architecture. We’ll enter its eastern gate and exit to the west, watching the sunlight dance along the stones. Later, we’ll visit Ta Prohm, a sprawling monastic complex that is overgrown with jungle. Next, we’ll embark on a gondola ride to Angkor Thom, the former capital of the Khmer Empire known as the “Great City.” Our gondola is a traditional Khmer boat, a Cambodian vessel made of wood and decorated with regal designs. This relaxing ride will take us across the calm waters of the moat. We’ll visit the Terrace of the Leper King and the temples of Baphuon and Bayon, 11th and 12th century masterpieces at the center of the city. (Breakfast included)

March 31, 2026

This morning, we’ll head to the Visitor Center of APOPO, where “hero rats” are trained to navigate minefields and save lives. You’ll learn about the country’s history with war and meet the professional rates at a demonstration. Then, we’ll travel to the village of Preah Dak to learn about daily life and see how Nom Banh Jok (rice noodles) are created. Get a peek into the local culture at the palm sugar market, where tree sap is gathered and cooked for sugar. We’ll make our way to Les Chantiers Ecoles, where local apprentices are trained in fine arts, and peruse the different workshops of sculpture, carving and more. This evening, we’re in for a treat as we enjoy Phare, Siem Reap’s most unique and authentic evening entertainment. Phare performers use theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts to tell the story of Cambodia, from a modern and historical perspective. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Today, we’ll board a flight to Luang Prabang, the spiritual capital of Laos. Upon arrival, our Tour Director will acquaint us with the city. Then, it’s your choice! Venture into the lively outdoor markets at night, OR return to the hotel for an evening of leisure. (Breakfast included)

April 2, 2026

This morning, we’ll hop into tuk tuks with a guide and make our way to the city center, including a visit to the National Museum, the former Royal Palace. We’ll continue to Wat Xieng Thong monastery, decorated in eye-catching gold. We’ll meander along the Nam Khan River to Wat Khili, highlighting the local culture and history. After lunch, we’ll cruise to the Pak Ou Caves, shrouded in mystery and home to thousands of Buddha statues. We’ll end our day with a home-hosted dinner and traditional Baci ceremony, which celebrates a significant event in someone’s life.  (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Today, you may choose to rise early and begin your day with traditional alms offering to local monks. After breakfast, we’ll journey to a traditional Hmong hill tribe village in Ban Long Lao and learn about this ethnic group and their way of life. Next, we’ll board a vehicle to bring us to the incredible Kuang Si Waterfall. Upon our return to Luang Prabang, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch together in a local restaurant. This morning, we’ll board our flight to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. A feast for the senses, this bustling city on the banks of the Chao Phraya River blends cosmopolitan sophistication with a strong sense of history and tradition. Tonight, we’ll board a Klong dinner cruise to celebrate our adventure in Thailand.  (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Today, we’ll set out on a journey that introduces us to Bangkok where you’ll marvel at ancient monuments, explore local culinary treasures, shop for unique souvenirs, or just soak in the energy of the city. We’ll visit the Jim Thompson House and Museum, an architectural gem, hidden away on a quiet street in the city center. The house features an impressive collection of Southeast Asian art, an open-air café surrounded by peaceful gardens, and a shop where you can purchase fine silk and household items. This evening, we’ll dine together at a local restaurant to experience authentic Thai cuisine. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

April 6, 2026

Today, we’ll explore some of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks, starting with a stroll through the 24-hour flower market where you can take in the blaze of color and heavenly scents. We’ll take a short tuk-tuk ride to Wat Pho, Bangkok’s most extensive temple where you’ll see the reclining Buddha. After, we’ll visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the home of the emerald Buddha. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the complex network of canals on a typical Thai long-tailed boat where we’ll enjoy picturesque scenes of traditional Thai life, hidden temples, and floating markets. Last, we’ll stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Enjoy this evening at leisure with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

April 7, 2026

Today, we’ll visit the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Our paddle boat will take us through a winding array of colors, noises, and vendors. We’ll visit the riverside province of Samut Sakhon, pausing to taste Thai flavors with a Farewell Lunch at a local restaurant. The remainder of the day and evening is yours to enjoy with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

  • There will be a maximum of 18 Sisters including your Sisterhood Travels Group Leaders. Roommate matching is available.
  • International airfare is not included in your pricing. You will fly into Hanoi (HAN) and depart from Bangkok (BKK)
  • You can arrive at any time on March 18, 2026. You can depart at any time on April 8, 2026.
  • Check-in time at our arrival hotel is at 3:00 pm.
  • All international flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before November 19, 2025. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
  • Group flights are included from Hanoi to Da Nang, Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, Siem Reap to Luang Prabang, and Luang Prabang to Bangkok. All flights are in economy class and there is no opportunity for upgrades. Seating assignments and flight times will be provided to you once on the tour.
  • Arrival transfers are provided only on March 18, 2026, from the Hanoi airport to our hotel. Departure transfers are only provided on April 8, 2026, to the Bangkok airport. If you arrive or depart outside these days and times, or you’re needing transfers or hotels elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own arrangements at your own expense.
  • Complete valid passport information is required on or before November 19, 2025, without exception in order to book your internal air flights. If your passport information is incomplete or inaccurate, there is a strong possibility that we will be unable to confirm you on our group flights. You will be subject to any additional charges incurred from failing to provide passport information within the required deadline.
  • Visas are required for this tour and are not included in your tour price. You will need a one-month Single Entry Vietnam Visa which is approximately $40 USD and must be obtained prior to departure. To enter Vietnam, you will need 1 blank page in your passport. You can obtain your visa for Cambodia at the airport upon arrival at a cost of approximately $30 USD along with two complete blank pages in your passport along with one passport photo. A Laos visa is required and can be purchased upon arrival in Luang Prabang at a cost of approximately $35 USD. You’ll be required to have one blank page in your passport.
  • You will need an overnight bag on the overnight Ha Long Bay Cruise. Your large luggage will be stored on the bus in a secure location.
  • Please don’t schedule any optional excursions on your own for this trip, as we cannot promise that you will arrive in time at any location to make your independent excursion. Sisterhood Travels won’t be liable for any expense you incur because of this.
  • Individual gratuities for your Tour Director, local guides, and drivers are not included in your pricing. We will provide you with tipping guidelines for your trip
  • Travel Insurance is strongly recommended and is not included in your pricing. We will send you a quote via email.
  • We cannot accommodate wheelchairs or assistive mobility devices on this trip.

This is a consistently robust itinerary that is likely to be filled with a combination of long, active days, several early hotel departures and some long journeys by coach. There may be limited time for rest and rejuvenation as you explore these amazing destinations. There may be multiple flights and travel by non-traditional means such as safari vehicles, rickshaws/pedicabs, etc. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be capable of walking 1-2 miles over time over potentially difficult terrain which may include hills. Guests should be comfortable with standing for longer periods of time with no difficulty.
