PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY
This immersive journey through Türkiye is best suited for women who are comfortable with full days of sightseeing, early mornings, and active exploration. Our itinerary offers a rewarding mix of cultural depth, archaeological wonder, and natural beauty. In keeping with Sisterhood Travels’ values, the pace balances discovery with reflection, but participants should be prepared for a physically active experience with limited downtime.
Walking & Standing
Expect a minimum of 2 miles of walking most days, often over cobblestoned streets, narrow sidewalks, or uneven terrain. Sites such as Ephesus, Kaunos, and Cappadocia’s valleys include unpaved paths, loose stones, and inclines. Visiting the Underground City and Göreme Open-Air Museum requires navigating steep staircases and ramps, sometimes without handrails. In Pamukkale, access to the limestone terraces and pools requires barefoot walking on wet, slippery surfaces. Standing for extended periods during guided tours is common.
Terrain, Transport & Accommodations
You will encounter a wide variety of terrain: cobblestones, marble streets, archaeological ruins, country roads, and riverbanks. Some areas like Istanbul’s Golden Horn, Dalyan, and archaeological sites, do not permit large motor coaches, so short walks between drop-off points and destinations are required. Hotels in smaller towns may require walking from drop-off areas to the entrance. Agility is essential for boarding small boats during included excursions. Domestic flights within Türkiye and several early-morning departures are part of the program.
