Over 13 days, we’ll journey through six enchanting countries—France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, and Italy—immersing ourselves in some of the most breathtaking landscapes and charming locales the world has to offer.

Join a small, intimate group of 14 like-minded Sisters, where new friendships blossom, and camaraderie thrives. Together, we’ll explore off-the-beaten-path destinations, from the historic streets of Chamonix to the eternal winter wonderland of Jungfraujoch, and the vibrant canals of Annecy. Each day brings new adventures, whether ascending the heights of Mount Blanc, savoring the flavors of artisanal cheese in the Bernese Oberland, or tasting sparkling Prosecco amidst the rolling hills of Italy. There’s nothing quite like sharing these incredible experiences with fellow women who share a passion for active travel and stunning scenery.

August 8, 2025

Welcome to Geneva, Switzerland! Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the Arrivals Hall in the Geneva airport and transfer you to our beautiful hotel in Chamonix. This evening, we’ll gather together for an informal Meet & Greet to get to know our Sisters and Group Leader. (No meals included today)

August 9, 2025

Say bonjour to Chamonix, the perennial ski-hub nestled at the foot of Mount Blanc. Enjoy your day with your Sisters to wander the pedestrian-friendly streets of this quaint town steeped in hundreds of years of history. This evening, we’ll join together for a Welcome Dinner to toast the beginning of our alpine adventure. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

August 10, 2025

Today, we’ll journey to one of France’s most picturesque cities, Annecy, often called the “Venice of the Alps” due to its storybook charm. We’ll join a local guide on a walking tour through an old medieval town featuring canals, crisscrossing bridges, and pastel-colored houses. Take advantage of some free time with your Sisters to explore the town’s vibrant outdoor market. This evening is yours to enjoy with your Sisters. (Breakfast included)

August 11, 2025

You’ll have the opportunity to decide how you’d like to explore the legendary Mount Blanc today. You can choose to ascend the Aiguille du Midi by cable car (In addition to the high altitude, the Aiguille du Midi choice requires the ability to negotiate 200 steps up/down at the altitude of over 12,600 feet (3,842 meters) above sea level where oxygen levels are scarce) OR relax aboard the Tramway du Mont Blanc rack-railway taking in its vintage charm and the impressive views from the Eagle’s Nest, located 7,782 feet above sea level (2,372 meters). This afternoon, we’ll enjoy a stroll through the woods in the bottom of the valley. (Breakfast included)

August 12, 2025

This morning, we’ll bid Chamonix and France adieu and set out for Switzerland. Today, we’ll learn all about the pups of Barryland, a local foundation that promotes and protects the heritage of the St. Bernard, the official dog of Switzerland. An afternoon train ride on the GoldenPass will whisk us through the pastoral Swiss landscape en route to Gstaad. This evening, we’ll relax together at dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

August 13, 2025

Today, we’ll travel through the alpine meadows of the Bernese Oberland, an area renowned for its cheese production. We’ll visit an artisanal creamery producing raciette cheese and taste the local produce during brunch on the farm. This afternoon, we’ll head on to Grindelwald, nestled at the base of legendary Mount Eiger where we’ll settle in for a two-night stay in this charming alpine village. This evening is yours to dine independently with your Sisters.  (Breakfast and Lunch included)

August 14, 2025

A short cogwheel train ride will bring us to Jungfraujoch (UNESCO), known as the “Top of Europe”. We can take our time to explore this eternal winter wonderland with impressive views of the imposing triple peaks of Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau. Wander the frosty halls of the ice Palace to see works of icy art carved by local artists or stand next to the Swiss flag to capture your time above it all. Tonight, enjoy your evening with your Sisters. (Breakfast included)

This morning, before we depart Switzerland, spend some time to learn for yourself why the lakeside city of Lucerne is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Then, we’ll make our way through Liechtenstein, the only country to lie entirely within the Alps on our way to Austria. This evening, we’ll gather together for a wonderful dinner before your time to explore the area independently with your Sisters.  (Breakfast and Dinner included).

August 16, 2025

Today, we’ll explore the idyllic town of Seefeld in a horse-drawn carriage, pausing to take in the unspoiled beauty of the Tyrolean mountains and forests. This afternoon, we’ll cross into Germany for a tour of Oberammergau, the world-renowned home of the Passion Play, which will next be performed in 2030. This Bavarian village of traditionally painted houses comes together every ten years to perform a marathon 10-hour folk theatre rendition of the Passion in thanksgiving for escaping the plague of 1633. After visiting the theatre site and town, indulge in homemade Tyrolean cuisine at a local restaurant before returning to Seefeld.  (Breakfast and Dinner included).

August 17, 2025

This morning, we’ll take in the scenery of the spectacular Bavarian Alps en route to enchanting Innsbruck. Walk the charming streets, discover the old town, and take in landmarks such as the Golden Roof. We’ll depart Austria for Italy to witness the unique jagged limestone peaks of the Dolomites. Later, we’ll arrive in Brunico, an historic town dating back to the 1200’s where we’ll join together for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

This morning, we’ll journey into the Dolomites (UNESCO) mountain range and discover natural beauty and local traditions. During a walk in the Val Badia valley, we’ll learn about the centuries old Ladin culture. Next, we’ll stop at a nearby maso, an alpine farm, for a taste of local Ladin fare. After lunch, a cable car ride will bring us to Rifugio Lagazuoi for a feast of stunning views of the Dolomites. Enjoy the evening with your Sisters as you explore and dine independently. (Breakfast and Lunch included).

August 19, 2025

Today, we’ll discover the charm of Cortina, a ski town encircled by the scenic backdrop of sky-brimming Dolomite peaks. The rolling hills of Italy’s Prosecco region will bring us to a local vineyard where we’ll taste the region’s sparking specialty. This evening, we’ll explore the frescoed halls and grounds of our historic countryside villa before we gather together for our Farewell Dinner to toast new friends and unforgettable memories. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included).

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY

  • There will be a maximum of 16 Sisters plus your Sisterhood Travels Group Leader. Roommate matching is available.
  • International airfare is not included in your pricing. You will fly into Geneva (GVA) and depart from Venice (VCE)
  • You can arrive at any time on August 8, 2025, and depart at any time on August 20, 2025
  • Check-in time at our arrival hotel is at 3:00 pm.
  • All international flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before April 11, 2025. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
  • Arrival transfers are provided only on August 8th from the Geneva airport to our hotel in Chamonix. Transfer from airport to hotel is about 2 hours. Please be prepared to wait a reasonable amount of time for other Sisters to join you on your transfer. Departure transfers are only provided on August 20th from our hotel to the Venice airport. If you arrive or depart outside these days and times, or you’re needing transfers or hotels elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own arrangements at your own expense.
  • This itinerary features 3 ascents above 9,500 feet (2,900 meters) which are not suitable in case of certain heart conditions. We recommend you consult your physician before booking this tour if you are unsure of your ability to tolerate these ascents.
  • The weather in the Dolomites is changeable and prone to strong winds, sudden fogs, low clouds and downpours. The average temperature in the Dolomites ranges from 41 Fahrenheit (5 Celsius) in spring and fall, to 65 Fahrenheit (18 Celsius) in summer. Temperatures can drop suddenly to below freezing point. For your comfort we recommend packing a warm fleece, scarf, hat and a pair of gloves.
  • Please don’t schedule any optional excursions on your own for this trip, as we cannot promise that you will arrive in time at any location to make your independent excursion. Sisterhood Travels won’t be liable for any expense you incur because of this.
  • Individual gratuities for your Tour Director, local guides, and drivers are not included in your pricing. We will provide you with tipping guidelines for your trip
  • Travel Insurance is highly recommended and is not included in your pricing. We will send you a quote via email.
  • We cannot accommodate wheelchairs or assistive mobility devices on this trip.
  • There are no refunds for unused portions of this tour.

This is a consistently robust itinerary that is likely to be filled with a combination of long, active days, several early hotel departures and some long journeys by coach. There may be limited time for rest and rejuvenation as you explore these amazing destinations. There may be multiple flights and travel by non-traditional means such as safari vehicles, rickshaws/pedicabs, etc. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be capable of walking 1-2 miles over time over potentially difficult terrain which may include hills. Guests should be comfortable with standing for longer periods of time with no difficulty.
