PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY
This tour is best suited for travelers comfortable with a moderate activity level, as we’ll be exploring iconic landscapes, national parks, and vibrant cities that involve walking, standing, and some optional outdoor adventures. Here’s a realistic view of what to expect:
Walking and Standing: Our tour includes visits to scenic viewpoints, rim trails, and historic sites. While our walks are generally moderate, there may be periods of standing to admire viewpoints at the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, along Bryce Canyon’s Rim Trail, and during our exploration of Zion National Park. Trails are mostly well-maintained, though sometimes uneven, especially in Bryce Canyon and Zion.
Optional Outdoor Activities: At Lake Powell, participants can choose from two moderately adventurous options: a guided rafting tour to Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River or a scenic cruise and hike to Rainbow Bridge National Monument. Both activities provide incredible scenic views but involve varying levels of activity, including short hikes and walking on uneven terrain.
Scenic Drives and National Parks: This tour is designed to immerse you in the beauty of Arizona and Utah’s national parks, which means you’ll be spending some time on scenic drives. While these drives are leisurely and scenic, it’s a good idea to be comfortable with travel between locations.
Higher Altitudes: Some of the areas we’ll be visiting, such as the Grand Canyon (around 7,000 feet) and Bryce Canyon (up to 9,000 feet), are at higher elevations. While most people adjust well, some may feel mild effects of altitude, such as shortness of breath or fatigue, especially during physical activity. Staying hydrated and taking it easy when needed can help.
Participants should be comfortable with moderate walking distances and occasional uneven paths, as well as being on their feet for periods of time. With built-in free time and a flexible pace, this itinerary offers a balanced mix of adventure and relaxation. If you’re looking forward to experiencing these iconic landscapes with a fun, like-minded group, this tour provides an ideal mix of breathtaking views, cultural insights, and bonding time with your Sisters.
