September 5, 2026
Welcome to Reykjavik, Iceland! Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the Arrivals Hall in the airport and transfer you to our centrally-located hotel. We’ve arranged to have your room ready since you’ll likely be arriving early in the morning from your overnight flight. The rest of the day is yours to rest, rejuvenate, or explore independently. This evening, join your Group Leader for a Welcome Reception to meet your new Sisters and toast our exciting adventure. (Breakfast and Welcome Reception included today)

September 6, 2026
You’re in for a treat today as we head to the famous Golden Circle. The first highlight of our trip is visiting the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site – Thingvellir National Park. Next, we’ll visit the Geysir geothermal area, where you’ll marvel at erupting geysers and steaming hot springs. Our tour continues to Gullfoss, the impressive “Golden Waterfall,” cascading into a deep canyon. Next, we’ll stop at Friðheimar Farm, where you’ll sample tomatoes grown using geothermal energy. You’ll also meet the friendly Icelandic horses, known for their unique gaits and hardy nature. We’ll wrap up our day together at dinner overlooking the scenic Ölfusá river (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Today, our adventure continues as we travel along the South Coast. During our visit to the Lava Centre, you’ll gain insights into Iceland’s volcanic activity. Then, we’ll travel to visit the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the curtain of water. A short drive away is Skógafoss, a 60-meter waterfall that offers a chance for incredible photos. In Skógar, we’ll explore the local museum, which showcases traditional Icelandic artifacts, including a turf farm. At Vík, we’ll walk along the black sand beaches, with views of the dramatic Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar rock formations. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 8, 2026
Prepare to see some of Iceland’s most photogenic attractions as we visit the beautiful Skaftafell area of Vatnajökull National Park, named for Iceland’s largest glacier. Next, our journey continues to the famous Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where we’ll sail among the floating icebergs on a guided amphibian boat tour. Next, we’ll also get to visit the Diamond Beach where big chunks of ice have washed up on shore after being polished in the surf of the glacier lagoon. After our icy experience, we’ll stop for some homemade ice cream before driving along the majestic East Fjords on our way to our hotel where we’ll enjoy dinner together. Today, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through East Iceland, where we’ll pass charming fishing villages and majestic fjords. A special stop awaits at Petra’s Mineral Collection in Stöðvarfjörður, a fascinating display of local geology. The evening concludes with a relaxing dinner together at our hotel. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 10, 2026
We’ll be traveling north today, where we’ll visit the thunderous Dettifoss waterfall, known as Europe’s most powerful. Next, we’ll explore the otherworldly landscape surrounding Lake Mývatn, with stops at Dimmuborgir lava formations and the Námaskarð geothermal area, famous for its colorful terrain and steaming vents. This evening, we’ll dine together at our hotel in Lake Mývatn. (Breakfast and Dinner included).

September 11, 2026
This morning, we’ll begin our day with a visit to Húsavík, a quaint fishing village, where you’ll tour the Whale Museum. Then, we’ll continue to Ásbyrgi Canyon, a horseshoe-shaped natural wonder steeped in Norse mythology. What can be better than ending the day with a soothing dip in the Mývatn Nature Baths, enjoying the warm geothermal waters before dinner. Our journey ends in the peaceful countryside where you can relax before joining your Sisters for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 12, 2026
Today we’ll visit Goðafoss, the “Waterfall of the Gods,” followed by free time to explore Akureyri, the vibrant capital of North Iceland. Later, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive along Tröllaskagi Peninsula, passing through picturesque fishing towns like Siglufjörður. Here, we’ll visit the Herring Era Museum and taste some regional delicacies. Next, we’ll continue on to the tranquil farmlands of Skagafjorour, where we will enjoy dinner together at our guesthouse. This morning, we head into the peaceful Westfjords, where we’ll visit Hólmavik village and the fascinating Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft. Spend the rest of the day at leisure with your Sisters in the coastal village of Drangsnes, before we join together for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 14, 2026
Today we’ll traverse through fjords and mountains to Ísafjörður. On the way, we’ll stop at Litlibær, a restored farmhouse museum. Later, we’ll. embark on a boat tour to Vigur Island, home to puffins and other seabirds, where you’ll enjoy refreshments from a local family. The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy independently with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Light Lunch included)

September 15, 2026
After a leisurely morning, we’ll start our day in Suðureyri with a guided food tour, sampling fresh seafood and meeting locals. Next, we’ll continue to Dýrafjörður and Hrafnseyri, where you’ll explore a museum dedicated to Jón Sigurðsson, a key figure in Iceland’s independence. Later, we’ll visit the majestic Dynjandi waterfall before arriving at our hotel where you can dine independently in Patreksfjordur with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

September 16, 2026
Our day begins with a visit to Látrabjarg cliffs, home to thousands of nesting seabirds. Then, cross Breiðafjörður Bay by ferry to Stykkishólmur, passing Flatey Island along the way. Spend the rest of the day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, with a photo stop at the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. This evening, we’ll join together for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 17, 2026
Today we’ll explore Snæfellsnes with a visit to Snæfellsjökull National Park and Djúpalónssandur beach, where you can test your strength with ancient lifting stones. We’ll make a stop at Arnarstapi to admire dramatic cliffs, then continue to the black church at Búðir. Back in Reykjavík, enjoy a bit of free time with your Sisters for last-minute shopping before we join together for our Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

September 18, 2026
Sadly, today is our last day in Iceland. This morning we’ll transfer to the incredible Blue Lagoon where you’ll enjoy several hours in the healing waters. Later, we’ll transfer together to the airport for our return flights home. (Breakfast included)

- There will be a maximum of 14 Sisters including your Sisterhood Travels Group Leader.
- Roommate matching is available.
- International airfare is not included in your pricing. You will fly roundtrip Reykjavik – Keflavik International Airport (KEF).
- You can arrive at any time on September 5, 2026, and depart at any time on September 18, 2026.
- Check-in time at our arrival hotel is guaranteed for your early morning flight arrival. Please note that almost all flights arrive into KEF between 5:45 am – 6:45 am.
- All international flight arrangements must be submitted to Sisterhood Travels on or before June 5, 2026. If you need help making flight arrangements, or to submit your independent flight arrangements, please click here for Airfare Information.
- Complete valid passport information is required on or before June 5, 2026. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of your travel. Failure to provide this information by the due date may result in our inability to secure your group arrangements and any penalties incurred will be at your expense.
- Arrival transfers are provided only on September 5th from the Keflavik airport to our hotel. Departure transfer is for the entire group and is only provided on September 18th from our hotel to the Blue Lagoon in the morning for our scheduled time and later, on to the Keflavik airport. If you arrive or depart outside these days and times, or you’re needing transfers or hotels elsewhere, you are responsible for making your own arrangements at your own expense.
- Please don’t schedule any optional excursions on your own for this trip, as we cannot promise that you will arrive in time at any location to make your independent excursion. Sisterhood Travels won’t be liable for any expense you incur because of this.
- Individual gratuities for your Tour Director, local guides, and drivers are not included in your pricing. We will provide you with tipping guidelines for your trip.
- Travel Insurance is strongly recommended for this trip and is not included in your pricing. We will send you a quote via email.
- We cannot accommodate wheelchairs, assistive devices, scooters, walkers or rollators, or Zimmer-frames. You must be able to ambulate independently with no assistance from devices or others on the trip. It is imperative that you read the activity level description below.
- There are no refunds for unused portions of this tour.
- Dates and times of itinerary as well as hotels listed are subject to change without notice due to operational, weather, or logistical reasons.
- Any optional expenses or expenses related to anything not specifically listed in this itinerary are not included.

Our immersive Iceland Ring Road journey is best suited for women who are comfortable with frequent hotel changes, light to moderate walking, and navigating a mix of natural and urban terrain. This itinerary is filled with scenic drives, daily sightseeing, and visits to Iceland’s most iconic and remote locations—ideal for adventurous travelers who want to experience the full beauty of this extraordinary island.
Walking & Standing
Each day includes moderate walking, often on uneven paths, gravel trails, or natural terrain near waterfalls, black sand beaches, and geothermal areas. While distances are generally short, you may spend extended periods on your feet during outdoor excursions, boat tours, and site visits such as glacier lagoons, national parks, and fishing villages. Some attractions may include short but steep inclines or steps.
Stairs, Terrain & Transportation
The itinerary involves multiple hotel changes as we circle the entire country to fully explore Iceland’s diverse landscapes. Comfortable coach transportation is provided, and travel days often include frequent stops to break up the journey. You’ll also enjoy boat rides and a scenic ferry crossing.
Scenic Drives & Free Time
Expect long, breathtaking drives through fjords, valleys, and volcanic landscapes. While travel days can be full, each is balanced with rest stops, meals, and a slower pace in rural areas. Free time is built in at several points for you to unwind, shop, or explore with your Sisters.
