I would also suggest downloading the WhatsApp app onto your phone. It is the most used source of communication during the trip. You can also keep up with your fellow travelers through WhatsApp long after the trip is over.
You will also be given roommate contact information if you choose to be matched with a roommate. You are encouraged to get in touch before the trip so you can get to know each other a bit.
You’ll also need to book flights (or have Sisterhood do it for you) and get travel insurance if you haven’t done so already.
Tip: I like to stay connected on any trip I take. For this reason, I purchase an eSIM for my unlocked iPhone. Usually, it’s much cheaper than your carrier’s international plan. My choice is Airalo. For example, I can purchase a local France eSIM with 10 GB of data for 30 days for just $23. I always purchase 10GB because being a travel writer, I use a lot of data. If I run out, I can easily top off through the Airalo app.
