August 1, 2023

Today, you’ll arrive in Lima, Peru, where you’ll meet all of your Sisters. When you arrive at the airport, your car will be waiting to whisk you away to check into your hotel. You can arrive at any time today, as our tour officially begins in the morning. Take some time to rest and relax! (All meals on your own today) Hotel: Casa Andina Premium Miraflores

August 2, 2023

Today, we’ll enjoy some guided sightseeing including the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, Cathedral, and San Francisco Monastery. We’ll also have a visit with tastings at a Peruvian food market. This evening, you’re in for a treat as we enjoy a Welcome Dinner at Casa Garcia Alvarado (one of Lima’s finest historic homes). August 3, 2023

This morning we’ll fly on a group flight to Cusco where we will visit the Sacred Valley. We’ll enjoy a lakeside lunch followed by an El Pago a la Tierra (Mother Earth Ceremony) with local shaman. This morning after breakfast, we’ll journey to our guided sightseeing tour with a Local Guide to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. Then, we’ll visit a local Peruvian home and meet the family. The highlight of our day will be a scenic ride on the Vistadome train through the Urubamba Valley on our way to Machu Picchu where we’ll have a Local Guide who will lead us. August 5, 2023

This morning, you’ll have your second included entrance to Machu Picchu. We’ll then take the afternoon train to the Sacred Valley and later, transfer back to Cusco. This evening is yours for rest, relaxation, and independent exploration. (B, L) Hotel: Casa Andina Premium Cusco

August 6, 2023

After breakfast, we’ll spend the morning sightseeing with a Local Guide including visits to the Cathedral and Santo Domingo Monastery. Next, we’ll participate in the Inka King greeting and visits to Kenko Amphitheater and the Temple of Sacsayhuaman. Today, from Puno, we’ll take a scenic boat ride to Taquile and the Uros Floating Islands. Later, we’ll enjoy guided sightseeing of Lake Titicaca including a local home visit and lunch. (B, L, D) Hotel: GHL Lago Titicaca

August 9, 2023

Today, we’ll head to Sillustani with a Local Guide to visit the Pre-Incan Burial Ground and a local home. Later, we will fly back to Lima where the evening is yours to do as you wish. (B) Hotel: Casa Andina Premium Miraflores

August 10, 2023

This morning, we’re going to take a scenic drive along the Pan-American Highway to the Bay of Paracas where we’ll board our scenic cruise to the Ballestas Islands in search of sea mammals, blue-footed boobies, sea lions, and Humboldt penguins. We’ll also be able to see the huge Candelabro etching on the Paracas Cliffside. Next, from Pisco, we’ll be flightseeing over the the 500-BC Nazca Lines which are the mysterious drawings of animals and geometric figures etched into the desert. August 11, 2023

Today, we’ll journey back to Lima. This evening, we’ll meet together for our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D) Hotel: Casa Andina Premium Miraflores

After breakfast, we’ll be transferring back to the Lima Airport for our flights home. (B)

CRITICAL INFORMATION TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TOUR:

  • For your overnight stay in Machu Picchu, you will only be allowed to bring an overnight bag weighing no more than 11 pounds due to luggage restrictions on the train. Your main luggage will be stored at the Cusco hotel where you will return for an overnight the following night.
  • For Nazca Lines flights, any guest who weighs more than 220 pounds will need to buy an additional ticket ($238 USD) at the time of the flight.
  • Maximum elevation on tour is 13,000 ft.
  • Maximum enjoyment of this vacation requires walking on cobblestone streets, uneven pathways, and climbing stairs. THIS IS NOT A HIKING TRIP! Elevations exceeding 10,000 feet can make even modest exertion a challenge.
  • You may need to depart the Lima hotel the night before their tour ends (approximately 9 pm) for your return flight home, as some flights leave very early in the morning on the final day. Rooms will be available until you depart for the airport. 
  • Please verify flight schedules and be aware of possible overnight connections.
  • All intra-vacation air flight specific details (e-ticket numbers, airline, flight times, etc.) are held on tour by our Tour Director. Your documents will only include basic flight information (departure and arrival airport and tour date that the flight occurs.

Activity Level:

Moderate

This is a moderately paced itinerary that involves some longer days and more activities. Expect some early hotel departures, and limited time for day time rest and rejuvenation as the itineraries are designed to ensure that you see as much as possible in these wonderful destinations. This may include longer coach journeys and guests should be able to join a walking tour lasting 1-2 hours with stops possibly over uneven terrain. Guests should have reasonable health and mobility and be comfortable with standing for longer periods of time with no difficulty.
