Welcome to Reykjavik – capital of Iceland! Once you’ve passed through immigration and customs, your driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall to transport you to our centrally located hotel. While your room won’t be ready until later this afternoon, you’ll be in a perfect location to independently explore the city center with your new Sisters. This evening, join your Group Leaders and new Sisters for an informal meet and greet. (No meals are included today)

Today, we’ll kick off our adventure by enjoying a traditional Icelandic lunch at one of our favorite local spots. After, we’ll meet up with a local expert guide for a walking tour of the historic Old City, where we’ll explore landmarks at a leisurely pace. The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included today)

This morning, we’ll embark on a journey through the iconic Golden Circle, where we’ll encounter some of Iceland’s most stunning natural attractions. Stand in awe of Gullfoss, a majestic double-tiered waterfall, and explore the bubbling Geysir geothermal area. At Thingvellir National Park, we’ll have the unique opportunity to walk along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the meeting point of two continents. Along the way, we’ll visit a charming family-owned dairy farm for a light lunch, featuring local cheeses and their popular homemade ice cream. Our adventure will wrap up at Frioheimar, where we’ll tour a stud farm and learn how pesticide-free produce is cultivated using geothermal energy. We’ll also have an introduction to the art of breeding Icelandic show horses before returning to Reykjavik for an evening of leisure with your Sisters. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Discover the beauty of Iceland’s western coast today with a visit to Akranes, a quaint fishing village nestled at the foot of Akrafjall Mountain. Be sure to snap a photo of its iconic lighthouse, often considered one of the most scenic in the world. If you’re feeling adventurous, climb to the top for breathtaking panoramic views. We’ll also enjoy tales of local lore, and you’ll have the opportunity to take a peaceful walk along the historic harbor. Next, we’ll visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, where we’ll explore via wooden walkways and observation decks. Our journey continues to Barnafoss, known as “the Children’s Falls,” where we’ll hear the fascinating legends associated with it. Later, we’ll check into our hotel in charming Reykholt and join together for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

We’ll start our day with breathtaking scenery as we travel to Stykkishólmur, a charming town in the northern part of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Be sure to keep an eye out for marine birds before we set off on our nature cruise through Breiðafjörður Bay. As we glide across the waters, we’ll have the chance to taste freshly harvested scallops and sea urchin roe straight from the sea! Watch for cormorants, and even the majestic white-tailed eagle soaring along the coast. Afterward, we’ll enjoy some free time for lunch in this picturesque fishing village, known for its traditional wooden houses. Then, we’ll head to Grundarfjörður, where we’ll be treated to stunning views of Mount Kirkjufell, one of Iceland’s most photographed landmarks. Don’t miss the nearby Krkjufellsfoss, a striking series of waterfalls, before we return to Reykholt to relax for the evening. (Breakfast included)

Today we’ll discover the wonders of geothermal energy with a visit to Hellisheiðavirkjun, Iceland’s largest power station and the second-largest geothermal facility worldwide. Next, we’ll explore the Lava Exhibition Center, where you’ll gain insights into Iceland’s volcanic history and its active eruption zones. Afterward, we’ll head to Seljalandsfoss, a breathtaking waterfall where you can walk behind the cascading water for a one-of-a-kind perspective. Our journey then takes us to Vík, the southernmost village in Iceland, known for its stunning landscapes and unique charm. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

After breakfast, we’ll journey along Iceland’s picturesque south coast to the Skógar Museum, where you can explore traditional turf houses and a fascinating collection of farm tools and everyday artifacts. Just a short distance away, we’ll visit the majestic Skógafoss, one of the country’s tallest waterfalls. Next, we’ll venture to Reynisfjara, a striking black sand beach lined with caves and towering basalt columns, where you can observe a variety of bird species like fulmars, black guillemots, razorbills, and gannets. You may even catch a glimpse of puffins nesting among the dramatic rock formations at Dyrhólaey, a volcanic headland that rises high above the sea. We’ll end our day with a stop at the Sólheimajökull Glacier, part of Iceland’s fourth-largest ice cap, where you’ll be amazed by its blue-white ice, deep crevasses, and breathtaking views. This morning, we’ll traverse through the stunning landscapes of Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest national park. As we head toward Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, take in the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and vast ice fields. Once we arrive, we’ll hop aboard an amphibian boat for a cruise among the towering icebergs that float in the lagoon’s icy waters. As we glide through this surreal environment, keep an eye out for seals swimming amidst the massive chunks of ice. Note: free time for lunch will be at approximately 1:30 pm. Today, we’ll head back to Reykjavik, enjoying the breathtaking scenery as we pass through the Reykjanes Peninsula. We’ll stop by a local studio to discover the traditional Icelandic art of wool dyeing, where natural ingredients and time-honored techniques are used. Later, you’re in for a treat as we unwind at the beautiful Sky Lagoon, where you can immerse yourself in the soothing, geothermal waters while soaking in panoramic ocean views. This evening, we’ll gather together for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate our incredible Icelandic adventure. (Breakfast and Dinner included)
