Activity Level:

Moderate

This Girlfriends Getaway through southern Spain and Madrid is designed to blend cultural discovery, beautiful scenery, and meaningful time together. With a comfortable pace, a mix of guided experiences and free time, and plenty of opportunities to relax, connect, and enjoy the moment, this journey is perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day in a memorable way.

Walking & Standing
This tour includes guided walking tours in Ronda, Marbella, Málaga, Granada, Segovia, and Madrid. Walking is typically light to moderate, generally one to three hours at a time, with breaks built in and opportunities to pause, shop, or enjoy a café along the way. Historic areas are largely pedestrianized, so exploring charming streets, plazas, and local neighborhoods is part of the experience. Free time allows you to move at your own pace, whether that means continuing to explore or simply finding a beautiful spot to sit and soak it all in with your Sisters.

Terrain & Physical Considerations
Terrain varies and includes cobblestone streets, stone walkways, and uneven surfaces typical of historic towns. In places like Ronda, Mijas Pueblo, and Segovia, there are gentle hills, steps, and inclines. While nothing is overly strenuous, guests should feel comfortable walking on uneven ground and navigating these areas at a relaxed but steady pace.

Transportation & Travel Logistics
This itinerary includes travel by motorcoach and a high-speed train to Madrid. Due to traffic restrictions in historic city centers, buses are not permitted to access certain areas. This means drop-off and pick-up locations may differ, and short walks are required between the bus and sightseeing areas. Guests are not permitted to remain on the bus during stops. If you choose to opt out of an activity, you will need to arrange your own transportation to the next designated pick-up location.

Pacing & Daily Flow
The itinerary is thoughtfully balanced with guided touring, shared experiences, and free time. While we do explore daily, there is space built in to relax, enjoy long meals, wander at your own pace, or simply sit with a glass of wine and take in the atmosphere. This is not a rushed trip, but rather a steady, enjoyable flow that allows you to experience Spain without feeling overwhelmed.
