Perhaps you’ll join a walking tour through the Old Town, taking in its colorful buildings and historic streets, or maybe you’d prefer to enjoy a more relaxed stroll along the river, discovering hidden corners and quieter views of the city. No matter which path we take, you’ll experience Verona’s most iconic sights—from Juliet’s balcony to the impressive Roman Arena that still stands at the heart of the city. From there, we’ll continue into the rolling hills of the Prosecco region, where vineyard-covered landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see. At a local winery, we’ll enjoy a tasting of the region’s signature sparkling wine. Later, let’s roll up our sleeves for one of those unforgettable, hands-on moments: a pasta-making experience with a local Italian nonna. Together, we’ll learn the art of traditional pasta before sitting down to enjoy our meal, paired with local wines and plenty of laughter. It’s a true taste of la dolce vita—simple, joyful, and meant to be shared. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

And of course, no visit to Venice would be complete without a serenaded gondola ride – soaking in the romance, the charm, and the magic of the city from the water. Activity Level:

Moderate

This Northern Italy journey offers a beautiful balance of cultural exploration, scenic landscapes, and immersive local experiences. While there is meaningful downtime built into the itinerary, travelers should be comfortable with regular walking, periods of standing, uneven terrain, and one longer, more physically demanding sightseeing day into the Dolomites. Historic settings, transportation logistics, and optional experiences such as gondola rides require a moderate level of mobility and agility.

Walking & Standing
This tour includes guided walking tours and independent exploration. Walking distances are generally moderate, with most days involving one to three hours of walking at a time, often broken up with rest stops, meals, or free time. Surfaces throughout these towns include cobblestones, stone walkways, bridges, and narrow pedestrian streets, which may be uneven or slippery at times. In Venice, additional walking is required due to limited vehicle access, including navigating bridges and boarding water transportation. Standing may also be required during guided tours, demonstrations, and cultural experiences.

Terrain, Transport & Physical Considerations
Due to traffic restrictions in many historic Italian towns, motor coaches are not permitted to access city centers. This means travelers should be prepared to walk short to moderate distances between drop-off points and main attractions, sometimes over uneven terrain. Boarding boats in Venice and participating in the optional gondola ride requires balance and agility when stepping in and out of the vessel.

The Dolomites excursion is the most physically and logistically demanding day of the itinerary. This is a full-day experience departing early in the morning and returning in the evening, with approximately 6.5 hours of total driving time, including about 4 hours on winding mountain roads. Travelers who are prone to motion sickness should plan accordingly. While much of the day is scenic and leisurely in pace, there will be opportunities for light walking at stops such as Lake Misurina and in the town of Cortina.
